Movie Reviews/Soaps/Horoscopes
Hotel Transylvania 2 - Dracula (voiced by Adam San- dler) and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half human grandson to keep his daughter Mavis from leav- ing the hotel. Kids will enjoy this animation. No. 1 at box of- fice. Made $48M. (Budget N/A). ***1⁄2
Everest (2015) - Based on a true story, a climbing expe- dition (Jason Clark, Josh Broslin) is caught on Mt. Ever- est by a severe snow storm. The crew has to try all means to survive. Made $23M. (Bud- get $55M). ***
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials - After having escaped the difficult Maze, the Gladers (Dylan O’Brien, Ki Hong Lee, Dexter Darden, Thomas Sanster and Kaya Scodelario) now face a new set of craziness once they flee to the desolate landscape. I thought the first movie was very good and different, but this one was more intense with non-stop action. Must- see! Made $51M. (Budget $61M). ****
The Visit - Two young children (Olivia DeJonge, Ed
Oxenbould) visit their grand- parents (Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie) and soon find out that things in their grandparent’s lives are very creepy. Director N. Night Shyamalan (The Sign) made this film really disturbing at the end if you are a parent. Made $52M. (Budget $5M). ****
The Perfect Guy - A cor- porate executive (Sanaa Lathan) breaks up with her boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) and soon gets involved with a man (Michael Ealy) who seems almost too good to be true. The Perfect Guy. One of the two goes psycho when they can’t get her back. Really en- joyed it! Must-see! Made $48M. (Budget $12M). ****
War Room - Directed by Alex Kendrick, this film was about Priscilla Shirer and T.C. Stalling as husband and wife who turn to Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie) for strategic prayer to help their volatile re- lationship. This faith-based movie was surprisingly very good. 2hrs long. Must see! Made $55M. (Budget $3M). ****
No Escape - An American family (Owen Wilson, Lake Bell) soon find themselves caught in the middle of an overseas coup, and they have to frantically look for a safe es- cape, because the rebels are executing all Americans and foreigners. Perce Brosnan also stars. Made $26M. (Budget N/A). ***
Straight Outta Comp- ton - The supergroup NWA (Niggas With Attitudes - Eazy E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella) emerge from the streets of Compton, California in the mid 80s and introduced the world to gangsta rap. The music and movie was about life in Compton with gangs, drugs, police brutality and how the group rose to fame despite the odds. Director F. Gary Gray (Friday) directed a masterpiece. Ice Cube (played by his son, O’Shea Jackson, Jr.), Eazy E(Jason Mitchell), Dr. Dre ( Corey Hawkins), MC Ren (Aldis Hodge), and DJ Yella (Neil Brown, Jr.) and manager Jerry Heller (Paul Giamatti) were all excellent. This movie should be nomi- nated for an Oscar for best pic- ture. You definitely can’t MISS this film based on the history of Hip Hop music. Didn’t feel like it was 2 hrs./30 mins. long. (Classic)! Made $160M. (Budget $28M). Five Stars

A Tampa native, Causey was the youngest of three children born to Mrs. Deborah Wooden Causey and the late Samuel L. Causey, Sr. His father died last November.
Mrs. Causey said, “My entire family has been diagnosed with disease. My husband died last year of cancer, but he also had dia- betes. When my husband passed, it took everything I had and now my son. But, it is just one of those situations. We are asking the com- munity to help with his burial.”
A Tampa native, Causey at- tended the public schools of Hills- borough County. He graduated from Leto High School in 2000.
His mother said he wanted to become a rapper and had been working toward that goal. “He had chronic problems and he had lots of complications. But, he was at- tending Everest College online in the IT Technician’s Program.”
