Saturday evening ended the last op- portunity for residents to cast ballots in the runoff election. Any individual who wants to vote must now vote at his or her assigned precinct.
The City of Tampa Municipal Runoff Election will take place on Tues- day, April 23rd. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Ms. Gerri Kramer, spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office said 6,000 more people cast ballots during the Early Voting period for the runoff election
than during the March 5th election. Currently, 230,193 voters are eligi- ble to vote in this runoff election. To date, 36,833 ballots had been cast by the end of the Early Voting period, for a turnout of 16%. Additionally, 49.1 per- cent of the Vote-By-Mail ballots had
been returned.
On Tuesday, the final ballots casts
will determine if Jane Castor or David Straz will serve as the next Mayor for the City of Tampa.
Voters will also determine who will serve in three seats on the City Council. Those candidates are: District 1, Joseph Citro versus Walter Smith, II; District 3, John Dingfelder takes

on Stephen Lytle; and in the District 5 race, Jeffrey Rhodes competes against Orlando Gudes.
What To Bring
Voters who decide to wait and vote on the day of the election will be required to provide one or two forms of identifica- tion. Acceptable iden- tification includes: Florida Driver’s+ Li- cense; Florida ID Card issued by the Depart- ment of Highway
Safety and Motor Vehicles; U. S. Pass- port; Debit or Credit Card; Military ID; Student ID; Retirement Center ID; Neighborhood Association ID; Public Assistance ID; or Veteran Health ID (is- sued by VA).
You may also use your Concealed Weapon License (issued pursuant to s. 790.06); or Government Employee ID.
If your photo ID does not in- clude your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature.
Individuals without proper identifi- cation may still vote a provisional bal- lot, which will later be evaluated by a canvassing board for eligibility.
