LB Mark Barron Released By Rams
LeBron James Writes Thank You
After Becoming 4th In Scoring History
Message To Michael Jordan On Shoes
The Los Angeles Rams made a surprising move ahead of the beginning of the new league year.
The Rams released line- backer Mark Barron, who was set to make $8 million in 2019. Barron carries a dead cap value of $2 million.
Barron signed a 5-year,
$45 million deal with the team in 2016 and ended up playing three seasons for the club. He had 60 tackles and a sack for the team last season and missed the first four games due to an ankle injury.
A former first-round pick by Tampa Bay, Barron will likely find a new team quickly.
LEBRON JAMES AND MICHAEL JORDAN
MARK BARRON
LeBron James was sure to pay homage to Michael Jordan on the night he passed the Chicago Bulls leg- end on the all-time scoring
list.James needed 13 points to pass Jordan for fourth on the all-time scoring list and got it with a baseline shot in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets. Lakers lost to the Nuggets, 115-99.
LeBron had MJ in mind on the night he surpassed the star and wrote a message to Jordan on his shoes.
The note said “thank you M.J. 23”.
James reached (32,311) career points passing Jor- dan (32,292) for fourth place in NBA History.
That’s a nice gesture by James, showing respect to the legend and his inspira-
tion. James idolized Jor- dan growing up and wore No. 23 because of MJ. Sur- passing him means so much to James because he has ad-
mitted he never thought he could get to MJ’s level as a player. He has gotten there, and the debate about who is better rages on.
