Contestants Sought For ‘2017 Miss Christian Tampa’ Pageant

Evangelist Devlyn Hamilton has been diligently working for the past year preparing for the “2017 Miss Christian Tampa” pageant. This is her first pageant.
“There is so much negative news out there and on the website about females of all ages, until I just thought we need to do something to em- power females, make them feel good about them- selves,” she said. She has singled out scriptures Proverbs 22:6 for minor contestants and Proverbs 31:10 for the adult division.
The “2017 Miss Christian Tampa” pageant is being hosted by Apostle Cornelius and Evan- gelist Devlyn Hamilton of True Prosperity Evangelist Outreach (T. P. O. E.). The event will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, 1 p. m., at Inkwell Centre, 2905 N. 50th St., Tampa (33619).
Evangelist Hamilton says the pageant is for females ages 6 and up. “Kids, teens, adults and seniors are encouraged to apply,” she said. No

prior pageant experience is needed as contestants will be trained.
Participating contestants will be judged on Biblical Q&A, formal gown competition, talent and community service.
When asked about the questions from the Bible, Evangelist Hamilton said, “We expect our adults to have some knowledge of the Bible – not just quoting scripture. For our younger con- testants we will prepare study guides for them.”
The ministry is seeking female contestants to volunteer to participate in the pageant. A small admission fee will be asked. “Our goal is to re- main affordable to allow interested parties to par- ticipate,” she said.

True Prosperity Evangelist Outreach operates a feeding mission Monday through Saturday, 5-7 p m. at 8751 N. 40th St. “The proceeds from this pageant will go toward our efforts of continuing to eradicate hunger in the Tampa Bay area.”
