Her name was Madame Fortune Taylor and 150 years ago, she bridged the gap. But who was Madame Fortune Taylor? Speaker Gloria Jean Royster is a researcher, writer and a co- sponsor of the Madame For- tune Taylor Bridge Historical Marker. She will help shed some light on the history and mystery surrounding this lit- tle known African-American Tampa pioneer. Open to adults, light refreshments will accompany this lecture.
