Cleveland Cavaliers Fire Tyronn Lue
TYRONN LUE
The Cleveland Cavaliers fired head coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday after a 0-6 start to the season.
Lue had led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in each of his three seasons as head coach, including a champi- onship in 2016. But the team has struggled to start the year in the absence of superstar LeBron James, who left for the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason.
After the news broke, James was quick to thank Lue for their time together.

Leading Scorer Of All Time
The Boston Red Sox cap- tured their ninth World Series title Sunday night, defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 5 at Dodger Stadium.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora unexpectedly called on David Price instead of Chris Sale to start the fifth game of the Fall Classic, and the gambit paid off, as Price pitched seven-plus innings, allowing one earned run and striking out five batters.
Even casual baseball fans were probably aware of Price's 5.03 postseason ERA entering the playoffs; the sub- ject had been discussed a lot both this year and amid the fallout from last season's American League Division Se- ries exit.
It looked like history was going to repeat itself when Price gave up seven runs in his first two starts of the 2018 playoffs. Then he allowed just

three earned runs over 19.2 innings in four appearances (three starts) to close out his first World Series title.
Beyond just how good he was on the mound, Price's flexibility was vital for Boston.
The five-time All-Star seemed to know exactly what was on the line. In the space of a few weeks, Price has im- mortalized himself forever in Boston.
The Los Angeles Lakers star began the game against the San Antonio Spurs with 31,167 career points, just 20 shy of Nowitzki.
He passed the longtime Dallas Mavericks star with his 21st point on a jumper from the right wing with 7:51 left in the third quarter. James finished the game with 31,202 points.
“For me to be in the same conversation with those guys in anything that we’re talking about as far as basketball, it’s a tribute,” said James.
With the achievement, James became the league’s active leader in points. Now- itzki is currently out recover- ing from an ankle injury, but says he plans to come back and play a 21st season.
And James is likely far from breaking records. He

currently stands within a couple hundred points from reaching Wilt Chamber- lain, who is the fifth leading scorer with 31,419 points, and reaching Michael Jor- dan, the fourth leading scorer with 32,292 points. James is expected to pass both mid-season.
