Air Force Enlistees Complete Basic Military Training

Two young adults with ties to the Tampa Bay Area have completed basic mili- tary training. The new U. S. Air Force recruits partici- pated in their respective graduation ceremonies at the Joint Lackland-San An- tonio Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas.
Airman Chrischen M. Knotts and Airman Tyrek Sanders com- pleted an intensive, eight- week program that included training in mili- tary discipline and studies, Air Force core values, phys- ical fitness, and basic war- fare principles and skills.
The Airmen also earned four credits toward an As- sociate in Applied Science Degree through the Com- munity College of the Air

son of Michael A. Knotts, of Plant City, and Nicole A. Fiumano- Knotts, of Hiawasee, GA. His brother, Brooke V. Knotts, also lives in Tampa.

Airman Sanders is the son of Nathan D. Sanders, of Tampa. He graduated from Armwood High School in 2017.

Naval Enlistees Stationed In Rota, Spain
Two young adult U. S. Naval enlistees are cur- rently stationed in Rota, Spain. Both are serving at the Naval Hospital in sup- port of ballistic-missile de- fense ships forward-deployed to Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryanne Brown graduated from Gibbs High School in 2010. Petty Officer 3rd Class Brown is a Navy hospital corpsman. She is responsi- ble for assisting and pro- viding medical care for active duty, reserve, civil- ian employees and depend- ent families at the hospital.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Stephon Moore graduated from Wharton High School in 2009. Petty Officer 3rd Class Moore is a Navy hospital

These four destroyers have a critical NATO mis- sion, specifically to provide full coverage protection for all NATO European popu- lations, territories and forces against the increas- ing threats posed by the ability to acquire ballistic missiles capabilities.
