  AIKENS
MRS. TRACEY BONITA SMITH-FORD
A Memorial Celebration for Mrs. Tracey Bonita Smith-Ford of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, was held on Saturday, May 2nd, 1 p. m. at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Johnnie Miller, officiated. Tracey gained her angel wings on April 27, 2020. Her final days were spent sur- rounded by her family and loved ones that she touched throughout the years.
Tracey Ford was born to the parents of mother, Barbara Smith and father, Stephen Smith, Jr. in Tampa, Florida. Tracey attended the public schools in Hillsborough County, Tampa Bay Vo-Technical High School and Hillsborough Community College.
Sister Ford was a faithful life- long member of Friendly Mission- ary Baptist Church, baptized by Reverend W. L. Webb, serving under the leadership of Pastor Johnnie Miller, as a member of Voices of Praise, Deaconess Min- isters Wives and Mother Board, as well as Financial Secretary.
Sister Tracey Ford was em- ployed as a valued employee as a customer relations team leader in various fields. She was a devoted employee of Honeywell, Robin- son’s Eye Care, Ford Credit, and New York Life. Sister Ford en- joyed playing board games, cards, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She was cur- rently learning to play the key- board and piano to uplift the Lord.
Sister Ford was preceded by: her father, Stephen Smith; sister, Marcia Robinson Martin and grandmother, Annie Lee Comer.
She leaves to cherish and em- brace loving memories with: her husband, Deacon Elbert Ford; sons, Anthony Thompkins, Jr. and Darryl Barnes; mother, Bar- bara L. MR. SAMUEL HICKS, III (‘D. J. RABBIT’)
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Samuel Hicks, III, who passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 2 p. m., Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., with Dr. Rev. S. Evan Burrows, Sen- ior Pastor of First Baptist Church of College Hill, officiat- ing.
Samuel was a native and life- time resident of Tampa, Florida, born January 5, 1970 to Edwina “Kitty” Sheppard and the late Samuel Hicks, Jr. Samuel had a radiant smile and vibrant per- sonality that lit up any room. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County and was a 1989 graduate from Robinson High School. He retired from the City of Tampa Public Works Department. His passion was music, he was a well-known D. J., affectionately known as “D. J. Rabbit” across the Bay area. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Ricardo Garcia Franklin was born to Willie Edward Franklin, Sr. and Mildred An- derson Franklin in Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, where he graduated from East Bay High School. Mr. Franklin served in the United States Army and after his Hon- orable discharge, he began his second career with General Elec- tric, as a Motor Winder, where he served for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie and Mildred Franklin; two brothers, Billy and Donnie Franklin; and stepsister, Silva D. Mosley.
