Second Monthly Shuffleboard Tournament Held

On the last Friday of Feb- ruary, members of the local Shuffleboard Team met at Ragan Park Community Cen- ter, 1200 E. Lake Avenue. The purpose of the meeting was the monthly Shuffleboard Showdown.
The Showdown is a com- petition where the first and second place winners are pre- sented gift cards. The cards are donated by Micah Miller, of Integrity Health In- surance. Steve Scott is the Director and Trainer of the Shuffleboard Teams.
The Shuffleboard Teams consist of senior citizens from throughout Hillsborough County, who play shuffleboard throughout the month. At the end of each month, they take

board gives seniors an oppor- tunity to stay active and so- cialize with their peers. He invites any seniors who wish to learn the game to contact him.
He teaches Shuffleboard on Mondays and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 E. Lake Avenue. He also teaches the game at Cyrus Greene Community Center on Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., and he holds train- ing classes at Williams Park and Fair Oaks Community Centers.
On Tuesdays from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, Scott teaches the game at the Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center.

place went to Linda Cotney and Connie Bowen.
