ALLEN TEMPLE AME CHURCH HOSTS NON-TRADITIONAL WATCH NIGHT SERVICES
Those who attended Watch Night Service at Allen Temple AME Church on New Year’s Eve, were probably sur- prised when they didn’t have the traditional service of preaching into the New Year and counting down the clock to midnight. However, they were spiritually refreshed after Evangelist Janice Nunn Nelson took them to higher heights through song and Ms. ‘V’ finished the evening off with her style of Christian comedy. She kept the audience laughing the remainder of the evening as they entered the New Year. Ms. ‘V’, second from left is shown with E. Carver Lee, Lomax McIntyre and Rey Oliver. Rev. Dr. Glenn Dames, Jr. is the pastor. (Photograph by Lomax McIntyre)
