LeBron James For Giving Power To Players
$31 Million
Following US Open
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has had plenty of run-ins with LeBron James in re- cent years, including multi- ple dust-ups when the two squared off against one an- other in three straight NBA Finals while the four-time Most Valuable Player was still with the Cleveland Cav- aliers.
But Green has always had a tremendous level of friendship for James, and the two have become friends through the years. Green appeared on an episode of “The Shop” (executively pro- duced by James and his Un- interrupted media company), and both players are two of the more outspo- ken personalities in the league.
On Thursday, Green praised James for being an advocate for the players and empowering his peers.
James has had quite a long summer given that this was the first year since 2005

that his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers, failed to reach the playoffs.
However, James has re- mained extremely active both on social media and in the NBA community at large. He has made consistent ef- forts to make Anthony Davis feel at home in Los Angeles, and he lobbied in- cessantly on behalf of agent Rich Paul when the NCAA tried to institute a rule that all agents must have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in order to represent NBA talent.
STEPH CURRY
The Bay Area bedroom community of Atherton, Calif. already boasts the wealthiest zip code in all the United States, but an investigation by the San Francisco Chronicle determined it’s still rapidly getting wealthier. Silicon Val- ley tech billionaires and for- eign business barons — the majority of them from Main- land China — have punted local home values into the stratosphere; the average sale price for the first half of 2019 rang in at a blood-curdling $8.1 million.
Back in June, a brand-new Atherton estate quietly sold for exactly $31 million, an amount that ranks as the most paid for a house in 2019 — not just in Atherton, but in the entirety of the Bay Area.
Though the property was technically acquired by a mys- teriously-named entity, a deep dive into records con- firms the $31 million buyer is not a tech bajillionaire or for- eign investor but rather pro- fessional basketball’s own Stephen Curry — a man currently signed to a whop- ping $201 million contract with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors — and his wife, Ayesha.
The Currys dodged atten- tion by purchasing the home through a separate entity, and details of the house remain somewhat of a mystery. The home was an off-market deal never listed on the MLS.

Tennis star Naomi Osaka has parted ways with her coach Jermaine Jenk- ins after only six months.
“Writing to let you guys know that me and Jay won’t be working together any- more,” she wrote Thursday.
But tennis sources told Page Six that the reason she ousted him is because she’s upset over how she played at the recent US Open.
“She’s super upset about how she’s been playing and people questioning if she’s a ‘one hit wonder,’ literally and figuratively. It’s like musical chairs. This is the second

The 47-year-old female driver admitted to authorities that she had been drinking, News 5 Cleveland reports. Charges have not been filed against her as toxicology re- ports are pending.
