  Special Guests Chosen For Annual Evening Of Jazz

Time is drawing closer for the upcoming “Jazz’n At The Italian Club” event. This year, marks the third time that members of Posi- tive Images have offered something special to the Tampa Bay community.

Scott Hardy, a mem- ber of the Positive Images Committee and Chairman of the Entertainment Com- mittee said, “We are looking forward to an amazing night of entertainment benefiting a great cause for St. Peter Claver Catholic School fea- turing Andre Walker’s MG&S Band, Paris All- Star Band, Hott Mess, and a special appearance by Alex Harris. We are also honored to have Ms. Lexi Lewis as our guest MC.
He further said, “We want everyone to come out, enjoy a great evening, mix

and mingle with friends, and just relax. This is an op- portunity to dress up and give yourself a special evening that you will re- member for a long time.”
Marvin Knight said, “We are having this event because those who attended in the past enjoyed them- selves so much. We want those who have not at- tended in the past to come out and see what others are talking about.
“By attending this event, you will be helping students who attend St. Peter Claver Catholic School. The money from this event benefits the school. This year, we are trying to raise $20,000 to help provide summer pro- grams for the students.”
Church To Host Community Health Fair
 Members of Peace Pro- gressive Missionary Baptist Church will host their 2018 Community Health Fair. The event will take place on Sat- urday, April 21st, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
It will be held at 2607 E. 4th Avenue, Tampa.
Those attending the health fair will receive health screenings, free haircuts and free food and fun. There will
be a bounce house and activ- ities for the entire family.
Some of the sponsors of the event are: Bloodmobile, Assurance Mobile, “Well- care,” Tampa Family Health Center, the Community Health Dental Program, Tampa Bay Asthma Coali- tion, Tampa Fire Depart- ment, and many others.

   Black Business Tour Bus To Make 16 Stops

On Saturday, April 21st, Ms. Candy Lowe will once again tour several African American owned businesses. Staging for the tour will take place at Bounce Boy, 5008 E. 10th Avenue.
The buses will leave at 9 a.m., and return at 1 p.m. Ms. Lowe, founder of the Black Business Tour said, “The Black business bus tour will be touring 16 Black- owned businesses in our community. We have 5 motor coach buses at this point.
“We are encouraging the community to come out at 1 p.m., at Bounce Boy and join in on the economic em- powerment movement after the buses return.” She fur- ther said there may still be spaces available for carpool- ing behind the buses.
Anyone in the commu- nity who would like to car- pool are welcome to do so. However, Ms. Lowe said

the buses will leave promptly at 9 a.m. to begin the tour.
“We will have for food trucks entertainment over 30 vendors will be on hand once the buses return back at 1 p.m.,” she said.
Ms. Lowe started the Black Bus Tour in 2006 and operated it for several years. She re-activated the Black Business Tour in September of last year.
