According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred near the intersection of N. Manhattan Ave. and W. Hamilton Ave., shortly before 10 a.m.
The unidentified victim was walking down the street when someone inside the Jeep fired two rounds at the victim. The bullet struck the victim in the ankle, but he was not badly injured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact HCSO at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stop- pers of Tampa Bay at 1-800- 873-8477 to receive a cash reward.
Last Wednesday, under- cover narcotics detectives ar- rested four individuals after conducting a search warrant at 114 Harbor Drive, in Win- ter Haven. The arrests came about after police received complaints and information that illegal narcotics were possibly being sold from the home.
Upon entering the home under the power of the search warrant, detectives found 193 grams of marijuana in a toilet (about to be flushed), and 30 bags of heroin, packaged for sale, along with $5,500 cash.
Inside a purse belonging to Andrea Kinsler, detec- tives found a bag of heroin.
When the vehicle of Ra- keem Rivers was searched, that was parked on a nearby vacant lot that also belongs to Rivers, detectives found 60 grams of heroin and 420 more grams of marijuana.
The total street value of the drugs seized is $11,740.
Detectives arrested four people inside the home, and they are:
Rakeem Rivers, 28, and charged him with: traf- ficking in heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of a structure to traffic drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug parapher- nalia.
When Rivers was asked if he sold marijuana, he al- legedly said yes and that he was in the process of flushing it down the toilet after he heard the detectives an- nounce they were there to
serve a search warrant. Gary Scott, 29, was charged with: trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of a structure to traffic drugs, possession of marijuana, Pos- session of marijuana over 20 grams, tampering with evi- dence, and possession of
drug paraphernalia.
While being interviewed
by detectives, Scott was asked about the illegal drugs, he allegedly said, “okay I’ll take the blame for every- thing,” and admitted to trying to flush “heroin and weed” down the toilet.
Police also arrested and charged two sisters.
Ms. Andrea Kinsler,
27, charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell, and possession of drug para- phernalia. She was released after posting $1,500 bond.
Ms. Dameshia Kinsler, 29, arrived on- scene during the search war- rants and arrests, and attempted to go underneath the crime scene tape to gain access to the house. She was warned numerous times by detectives not to cross the crime scene tape during their investigation, but she ignored their commands.
She was arrested for re- sisting arrest, a first-degree misdemeanor. She was re- leased after posting $500.00 bond.
There were four children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old in the home at the time of the investigation. They were turned over to family members, and DCF was notified.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a double murder. The murders took place last Fri- day night.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, said a report of a house fire was reported at 10 p.m. When first responders ar- rived, they discovered a re- cently extinguished fire contained in the master bed- room with two deceased vic- tims inside, a man and a woman.
Deputies and Polk Fire Rescue personnel found a gas can and noted the strong odor of gasoline inside the resi- dence. The deceased victims also had trauma to their bod- ies and there was blood at the scene.
Sheriff Grady Judd
said in a news release that Kenyatta Bellamy had bonded out of the Osceola County Jail on March 24, 2020. His was charged with failure to appear (FTA) for a DUI manslaughter case. The offense took place in Osceola County in January 2018. Bel- lamy was apparently arrested on the FTA warrant in March 2019.
After bonding out of jail, Bellamy returned to his home, where he had allowed his girlfriend to live while he was in jail. He discovered an- other man living in the resi- dence. He called his mother, who lives in Miami, and had allegedly planned to visit her. However, due to the COVID- 19 virus, he would not be able to take a bus.
On March 27th, Bellamy took the female victim’s young son (who calls Bel- lamy “daddy” though they
are not biologically related) to family members and went out to eat with a cousin. During dinner he told the cousin he was upset about the male vic- tim being in his (Bellamy’s) house.
After dinner he told his cousin to leave him at a WaWa gas station because he did not want to return back to the house on Royal Ridge. The cousin later drove to the Royal Ridge house. She knocked, smelled smoke, and dialed 9-1-1 to report the fire.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office took Bellamy into custody. Dur- ing the interview, Bellamy said he had allowed the fe- male victim to stay in the house while he was in jail, and left her money with which to pay the bills.
However, without his knowledge, she allegedly al- lowed the male victim to move in. On Friday, Bellamy said he was outside pressure washing, went inside, and dis- covered them having sex so he “lost it.”
He told detectives that he used a hammer and a knife to kill the victims. They both have trauma consistent with those injuries.
Police did not release the names of the victims.
Bellamy then lit a fire in the bedroom, and closed the door. The fire extinguished it- self before first responders ar- rived.
Bellamy was transported to the Polk County Jail, where he was charged with 2 counts first degree murder, 1 count attempted felony murder, 1 count arson, and 1 count tam- pering with evidence.
