MRS. EVON SELLERS
Homegoing Celebration for Evon Sellers of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, will be held on Wednesday, June 29th, at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Rev. Cleveland Lane, pastor, officiating.
Evon was born on December 18, 1943 in Walterboro, South Carolina. She frequently vis- ited First Missionary Baptist Church of Highland Pines. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing solitaire and watching televi- sion, most of all she was a lov- ing person who knew the word of God.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jake and Julia Forman; brother, Douglas For- man and sister, Ruby Ciston.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her devoted and loving husband of 39 years, James Sellers, Jr; 4 beloved children, Robert (Denise) Weather of Orlando, Clarence Weather of Atlanta, Georgia, Charles Hughes of Tampa, and Almetha Allen of Tampa; grandchildren, Michael Weather, Mylon Weather, Mark Riley, Terri La- timore and Thurstina Harri- son; great grandchildren, Andre Thomas and William Medina, Jr.; brothers, Willie (Eva) Forman, Ernest Forman and Cephus Forman, all of Tampa, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of Tampa, New York, Walterboro and Greenpond, South Carolina; goddaughter, Katie (Frank) Johnson, sisters- in-law, Barbara Davis, Bennie Pegram, Cleo (James) Billups, Bettye Christine and Mae Com- mings, all of Tampa; Mary (Leroy) Jones of Lake City, FL and Mary Alice Wilcox, of Mc- Clenny, Florida; 2 brothers-in- law, Robert Sellers and Cornelius (Jackie) Sellers all of Tampa; and a host of other rel- atives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29th, from 12 –2p.m.Thefamilyand friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the viewing and service.

MRS. JESSIE MAE CARTER
Mrs. Jessie Mae Carter passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke AME Church, 2709 N. 25th Street, Reverend Kirk Bogan, Pastor, officiating with Reverend Marcus H. Burke, Jr. Eulogist. Interment will be held in the Carter Family Cemetery, Quincy, Florida.
Mrs. Jessie Mae Carter was a native of Quincy, Gadsden County, Florida, born to Virgil Lockwood, Sr. and Aggie Lockwood. She was educated in the public schools of Gads- den County. Mrs. Carter was converted at the age of ten and baptized at Ebenezer AME Church in Bradwell, Florida under the Pastorate of Rev- erend C. H. Dudley. Upon moving to Tampa, Florida, she united with St. Luke AME Church in 1948, under the pastorate of Reverend O’Neal. She served on the Stewardess Board, Pulpit Aid Board and Willing Workers. She was a faithful member of sixty-eight years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Carter; brothers, W. H., Virgil Jr., and Hodges; and sisters, Julia Nellie, Edna, Daisy, Earie and Teresa.
Celebrating her death and cherishing her memories are: her son, Ralph E. Carter; daughter, Edna C. Jones; grandsons, Mark W. Carter (Ursula) of Flossmoor, Illi- nois, Leighton A. Carter of Tampa, Florida, Michael W. Carter (Sharman) of Atlanta, Georgia; great grandchildren, Dylan P., Griffin P. and Olivia Patrice Carter of Flossmoor, Illinois; sister, Irene Smith of Quincy, Florida; sister-in-law, Archie Mae Carter of Quincy, Florida; eight nephews and twelve nieces; Goddaughters, Barbara Powell, Dee Miller of Seattle, Washington, and Sharon Jones of Dacula, Geor- gia; Godchildren – The Streeter Family; and a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.
