Suspect Sought In Shooting Outside 22nd Street Store
Woman Arrested
Police Looking For Man Indicted In 2015 Murder
Tampa Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting of a man Thursday morning in front of a grocery store on North 22nd Street.
According to police, Elvin Joseph, 43, known through- out East Tampa as Fathead, had gone into King’s Grocery Store, 3523 North 22nd Street, to purchase a bottle of water.
A witness told police, Jo- seph had gotten onto his bicy- cle outside the store, and was riding away when he was ap- proached by a man who fired shots at him.
Joseph was struck at least once in the head, and is hospi- talized in serious condition. The shooter fled the scene, and a witness reported seeing him entering a truck.

was no argument that pro- ceeded the shooting, and police have not established a motive, although they did say they don’t believe the shooting was a random act.

Tampa Police arrested a 56- year-old woman early Saturday and charged her with aggra- vated battery with a deadly weapon. She is accused of shooting a man engaged in a quarrel with her son.
According to police, around 4:20 a.m., on Saturday, the woman’s son was engaged in an argument with another man in the 2600 block of N. 18th Street. The argument took place on the porch of the resi- dence next door to the woman’s house.
The woman, identified as
Ms. Maria Amalia Aguirre,
56, is alleged to have left her home, armed with a handgun, and went to the location where the two men were arguing. She is alleged to have shot Darryl Rashad Coard Wingo, 25, once with the handgun.
Wingo was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Ms. Aguirre was trans- ported to the Hillsborough County Jail, where she was charged with aggravated bat- tery with a deadly weapon, po- lice said.
She was released after post- ing a $15,000 bond.

The Largo Police Department is currently searching for a man in connection with a home in- vasion homicide. The murder took place in July 2015.
According to police, on July 13, 2015, McKinley Torbit, 21, was shot and killed in a home invasion. Three men were reportedly involved in the murder.
Police have already arrested Shaquille Felder, 22, and Frank Freeman, 23, and charged them with the murder.
Last week, a grand jury in- dicted Leonard Little, 25, on a first-degree murder charge. He is the third man accused of committing the crime, police said.
Police End Juveniles’ Crime Spree
Man Arrested After Running Stop Sign, Hitting Police Car
Tampa Police have arrested five juveniles in a stolen car that has been seen at several crime scenes over the past two days.
The juveniles were arrested in Pinellas County by Tampa Police with help from Clearwa- ter Police and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The ju- veniles are suspects in a string of crimes in Tampa, including a carjacking, a robbery, and auto burglary.
Authorities said the car was stolen in a carjacking Friday evening at 6:20 p.m. at the Meridian Pointe Apartments when two suspects allegedly pointed a gun at a man and de- manded his car keys.
A car matching the descrip- tion was seen during a robbery early Saturday. Then Tampa Police were called to Ben T. Davis Beach on the Courtney
Campbell Causeway with a re- port of an auto burglary and attempted auto burglaries. A car matching the description of the stolen car was seen leav- ing the beach and heading west on the Courtney Camp- bell Causeway.
A Tampa Police officer fol- lowed the car across the bridge into Pinellas County.
When the TPD officer got assistance from Clearwater Police and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, they at- tempted a traffic stop. The stolen car sped away and a brief pursuit began.
The car stopped near Mc- Mullen Booth Road and En- terprise Road, the five suspects fled on foot. All five were later captured, and one of them was charged with pos- session of a firearm.
The names of the juveniles were not released.
WILDER DUMEUS
Tampa Police have arrested a man they accused of running a stop sign and causing a crash with a Tampa police officer.
Wilder D. Dumeus, 28, reportedly ran a stop sign at 34th Street and 28th Avenue about 6 p.m. last Wednesday, and was struck by a police car driven by Officer Nathan Toole. Dumeus reportedly got out of his car and fled, but Toole was able to catch and arrest him despite his injuries.
Dumeus was charged with

leaving the scene of a crash with injury, resisting arrest, il- legally possessing a firearm and cocaine trafficking. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
Christopher M. Cheru- bin, 32, was in the car with Dumeus, and was charged with possession of cocaine and a controlled substance with in- tent to sell, illegally possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana. His bond is set at $21,500.
Deputies Shoot Man Who Allegedly Fired Shots At Them
On June 26th at 1:15 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 9525 Grovedale Drive in Riverview on allegations of a domestic dispute.
When deputies arrived, they met and interviewed a woman inside her residence. While in- side the apartment, a relative arrived and told deputies the boyfriend of the alleged victim was outside in the parking lot.
Two uniformed deputies went outside and made contact with the man to find out what
his involvement in the incident was.
As deputies approached the man, he reportedly pulled out a handgun and fired several times at them. The deputies re- turned fire, and the suspect was struck at least once.
The suspect, identified as 26- year-old Jamil Alejandro Valladares, was hospitalized and is facing two counts of at- tempted murder of a law en- forcement officer.
None of the deputies in- volved in the incident were in- jured.
