Releasing My Child Into God’s Hands
Lord, I am raising my children in (name of city). I in- vite You to reign in this community. Pour out Your Spirit upon everyone so that all people will be drawn to You. Make our streets safe from accidents and evil people. Take evil people with evil intentions toward our children out of this city and out of our lives. Bless and protect my children and all the children of our city. Remind me to pray for my city often, and show me how I can join in prayer with others so that it can be a wonderful place to raise children.
Far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you. 1 SAMUEL 12:23
Securing Protection From Harm
Lord, I lift (name of child) up to You and ask that You would put a hedge of protection around her (him). Pro- tect her (his) spirit, body, mind, and emotions from any kind of evil or harm. I pray specifically for protection from accidents, disease, injury, or any other physical, mental, or emotional abuse. I pray that she (he) will make her (his) refuge in the shadow of Your wings until these calamities have passed by (Psalm 57:1). Hide her (him) from any kind of evil influences that would come against her (him).
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. ISAIAH 43:2
Thank You, Lord, for Your many promises of protec- tion. I pray that You will put a hedge of safety and pro- tection around (name of child) on every side and keep her (him) away from harm. Protect her (him) from any hidden dangers and let no weapon formed against her (him) be able to prosper. Help her (him) to walk in Your ways and in obedience to Your will so that she (he) never comes out from under the umbrella of that protection. Keep her (him) safe in all she (he) does and wherever she (he) goes. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall my plague come near your dwelling. PSALM 91:9-10
