3 Women Arrested For $1,700 Theft From Store
Young Man Dies After Quarrel Leads To Shooting
The shooting took place near the intersection of E. Chelsea Avenue and N. En- glewood Street.
Detectives are currently in- vestigating a shooting that has left a 24-year-old man dead. The shooting took place early last Thursday morning.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, officers re- sponded to reports of a shooting around 2 a. m. How- ever, when they arrived, they located a young man suffering from a gunshot wound. The unidentified victim was trans- ported to Tampa General Hos- pital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police said the two men in- volved in the altercation knew each other and they are not looking for any additional sus- pects. No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
Police Search For Burglar Who Entered Occupied Home
Burglary Suspect
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is searching for a man who broke into an occupied home. The incident took place on Mable Street while the fam- ily was inside asleep.
According to police, the man entered the home around 3 a. m., last Saturday and stayed inside about 20 min- utes. He went into one of the bedrooms and took cash be- longing to one of the family members before fleeing the scene. No one was injured.
He is described as a Black man in his 20s.

Man Arrested In Skyway Park Shooting
Three women were taken into custody last Friday in connection with a $1,700 theft from a store. The theft took place at the Ulta Beauty Store in Pinellas County.
Takeeja Morehead, Lakitta Timpson and Jazmine Irons were all al- legedly involved in a retail theft Friday evening when the group walked into an Ulta Beauty, filled hand baskets with various perfumes and walked out with $1,723 in un-
paid merchandise.
The women fled the scene
in a vehicle, but it crashed a short time later.
Deputies said one woman, Lakitta Timpson, then at- tempted to run, but officers caught up and placed her under arrest.
All three women were charged with retail theft. Morehead and Timpson were also charged with resist- ing an officer without vio- lence.
A 37-year-old man was ar- rested last Wednesday in connection with a shooting. The shooting took place the weekend before.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the Skyway Park, 3901 George Road, shortly before 11:30 p. m., in reference to a fight and pos- sible shooting. When the offi- cers arrived, on Saturday, December 11th, they located evidence of a shooting (cas- ings and blood), but no vic- tim.
The witnesses told police that after being shot, the vic- tim entered an unknown ve- hicle and left the scene en route to a nearby hospital. Officers made contact with the victim at the hospital.

means, officers were able to identify Michael E. Allen as the shooter and a warrant was issued.
Allen was arrested and charged with aggravated bat- tery with a deadly weapon, firearm-discharge, being a felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence.
Man Arrested For Cutting Woman’s Throat At Motel

This is the Lee Motel where the burglary and attack took place.
A 28-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a woman’s motel room and attempted to cut her throat. The woman was staying at the Lee Motel, 201 S. 14th St,. when Raheed Marshall, of Leesburg, re- moved the screen from the room’s window and forced his way in, according to an ar- rest report.
He began to beat the woman, pushed her onto the bed and slapped her several times in the face. He took out a “silver knife with a razor blade attached to the tip,” and began to cut her throat. He also told her he was going to “shoot her in the face,” police
said.

phone and fled the room be- fore police arrived.
Officers said the cut marks were not deep and the victim refused medical treat- ment. However, she did com- plete an intent to prosecute form.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies took Marshall into custody last Tuesday in Lees- burg. Marshall was booked at the Lake County Jail on charges of aggravated battery of a person with a deadly weapon, and burglary of a dwelling while armed, and petit theft. His bond was set at $52,500.
