Police Search
Driver Charged With DUI Manslaughter In Fatal Crash
For Man Who
A 41-year-old man was ar- rested Saturday and charged in connection with a traffic fatality.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the traf- fic accident took place shortly before 9:30 p.m., at the inter- section of Bird Street and N. Nebraska Avenue.
Omar Wilson, of Tampa, was driving a red Ford 4-door vehicle north- bound on Nebraska Avenue, when it collided with a gold Chrysler van, driving east- bound. The driver of the
teenager, was ejected from the Chrysler.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries. Po- lice did not release the name or age of the victim.
Investigating officers charged the driver of the red Ford, identified as Wilson, with DUI Manslaughter. He was also charged with 7 counts of DUI with property damage.
Wilson is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.

Detectives are searching for a man in connection with a fatal shooting. The shoot- ing took place Sunday night.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, deputies responded to the Uptown District of Tampa Apartment Complex, 13712 N. 19th Street, around 6:30 p.m., in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they learned the victim had already been transported to AdventHealth Hospital. The man was prounced dead at the hospital.
No additional informa- tion about the victim has been released by police.
During their investigation into the shooting, police learned that Kendrick James, 31, had become en- gaged in an argument with his neighbor. At some point during the confrontation, James is alleged to have shot the neighbor.

Detectives said James should not be approached if he is seen.

A 54-year-old man is fac- ing murder charges as a re- sult of a death investigation. He was arrested Sunday.
According to police, deputies responded to 9716 Ellison Road, in Thonoto- sassa, shortly after 8 a.m. Samuel Parsons had re- portedly asked a neighbor to call 9-1-1.
When deputies arrived at the scene, Parsons was standing on the front porch. Deputies entered the resi- dence and discovered the body of a white female. She had suffered upper body trauma, police said.
During the investigation that followed, Parsons was

interviewed, arrested, and charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.
Investigators have not re-
leased any additional infor- mation on the victim. How- ever, deputies have responded to the address in the past in connection with non-violent domestic distur- bances, police said.
Parsons is a registered sex offender and has served 14 years in Florida State Prison for sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12. He was released on March 1, 1998. His criminal history also includes distribution of marijuana, and failure to register as a sexual offender.
Parsons is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond. The investiga- tion is continuing.
