LeSean McCoy Says
Pac-12 Student-Athletes Threaten Boycott Unless Demands Are Met
He Just Wants To Help

The year 2020 has seen sports take a major turn at activism and athletes be- coming more vocal about their rights.
The latest comes from student-athletes in the Pac- 12. They have written an ar- ticle for The Players Tribune outlining demands and say- ing they will boycott unless they are met.

LeSean McCoy will al- ways be able to say he’s a Super Bowl champion, hav- ing been a part of the Kansas City Chiefs team that de- feated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
The only problem for McCoy was that he didn’t play in that game. The run- ning back was a healthy scratch on Super Bowl Sun- day, and was also a healthy scratch for the team’s big win over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game.

Martellus Bennett Says Kneeling Has Been Diminished
Cameron Jordan
Martellus Bennett is one of several players who took part in national anthem protests when he was playing in the NFL, but the former tight end does not think the demonstrations will have the same impact this season that they did years ago.
Bennett recently shared some observations about how the NBA is handling so- cial justice issues, and he said he feels kneeling during the national anthem “don’t hit the same” anymore. He then agreed with one of his followers who said more

players are willing to kneel now because it is the com- fortable thing to do.
Bennett was also critical of the messages NBA players have displayed on the backs of their jerseys.
Buccaneers’ NFC
South Chances
Cameron Jordan might not be quite as impressed as most people with what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have done this offseason.
By adding the likes of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, the Bucca- neers have been mentioned by many as a Super Bowl con- tender, to say nothing of their NFC South chances. The New Orleans Saints will have something to say about that, though, and Jordan fired the first shot on Monday.
“But I do know we have to step up our game, we’ve got to elevate,” Jordan told NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.” “They’ve got the second-greatest quarterback of all-time, right behind Drew Brees, and now we’ve got a head-to-head two times a year. We’ve got our work cut out for us and then they have an addition, you bring in Rob Gronkowski and LeSean McCoy, you already had two 1,000-yard receivers

in (Chris) Godwin and Mike Evans. This is a team that’s fighting for second place.”
There’s definitely some- thing tongue-in-cheek about Jordan’s remarks. He knows the Buccaneers are a threat, but he’s also entirely confident that the Saints can hold them off in order to win what would be their fourth consecutive division title.
Jordan may want to take heed of what Bruce Arians has been saying lately. Under Brady, the Bucs will be no joke.
Plenty of athletes enjoyed watching ESPN’s “The Last Dance,” but one has taken some special motivation from it.
Denver Broncos line- backer Von Miller said after watching the Chicago Bulls documentary that he realized he wasn’t working quite as hard as Michael Jordan, and was inspired to rectify that.
Miller is a future Hall of Famer and a Super Bowl champion, so there’s no real reason to doubt his work ethic. He is, however, coming off a season where he col- lected just eight sacks, his worst tally since an abbrevi- ated 2013.
The veteran defensive lineman has reasserted his commitment to the Broncos. Between that and his added motivation, it could be a big comeback season for him.
