Two Complete Air Force Basic Military Training
Parent Meeting At Van Buren Middle School

Two young adults with ties to the Tampa Bay Area recently completed all re- quirements and graduated from basic military training. Their respective graduation ceremonies were held at the Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, in San Antonio, Texas.
Airman 1st Class Michael R. Dudich and Reserve Airman 1st Class Jose A. Sanchez Sanchez completed an intensive, eight-week program that in- cluded training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. They

each earned four credits to- ward an Associate in Applied Science Degree through the
Community College of the Air Force.
Airman 1st Class Du- dich is the son of Michael and Meri Beth Dudich, of Tampa. He graduated from H. B. Plant High School in 2015.
Reserve Airman 1st Class Sanchez Sanchez is the son of Maria Sanchez, and the husband of Lecy Sanchez, of Tampa. He is the father of Ashley, Dante, Diego and Jerry.
He graduated from La Perito High School (Tampa), in 1999, and continued his education at the University of South Florida. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 2016.
Among those who attended the meeting were: Dr. Madonna Tay- lor, Cynthia Forward, and Doretha Edgecomb.
Area 7 Superintendent Owen Young was among those who at- tended the meeting to answer questions from parents.
Jocelyn Maroon, Kim Workman, and Carol Pauline were avail- able to share information.
Alexcia Wiggins answered questions about bus transportation.
