Faith And Hope vs Knowing And Believing/Your Choice
BY ALFRED T. PYLES ChipTanEZU Middleton HS – 1969-1971, Leto HS, C/O 1972
Words are powerful, yet in and of themselves are useless if not attached to an action.
(Continued From February 11, 2022)
Biblical salvation in their Bible states that it is God’s way of providing His people deliv- erance from sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. I trans- late that to meaning that a provision is in place for one to take advantage of. Now re- member that their Bible has been translated and copied COUNTLESS TIMES, and in doing so, may have been re-interpreted by the translator or the copy writer. Thus, the book becomes an issue of taste rather than a true alteration of content.
Also, that their Bible is not to be received literally, but figuratively. It’s a book of alle- gories (stories). And within those stories,
there does exist I believe characteristics of Godliness, spirituality, and moral values, that can and should be applied to all of man and mankind.
And it’s also a book of contradictions. Be- lieve what you will. Live your life as you choose. Let’s focus on the words: God’s way of providing His people deliverance from sin and spiritual death through Repentance (u know what I think about faith). When it says, “his people”, what does that mean? I’ll take a stab at it and say that all of man and mankind are not of God, nor are considered his people. You know that this rabbit hole can go deep, but I’m trying to stay basic and to the point.
God is not a respecter of person. Translate to me that God doesn’t show favoritism. Yet, God will provide every person with the oppor- tunity to receive the blessings\miracles, avail- able through God’s plan of salvation. Salvation is free to obtain. It’s the preserva- tion or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss.
Man, and mankind are to repent. Repent, meaning is to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin.

Ariana when she was a teenager.
"It's a beautiful, shared ex- perience. We kind of are going through the same thing, except she's younger than I am, so she's having a little bit of a dif- ferent experience," she said.
"But we talk all the time," she said, adding that it is a "beautiful thing" to be going through the experience along- side her daughter.
