the NFL, the

have already been selected - more than half of the avail- able positions - only 1 Black received the head coaching position.
The Saints hired Dennis Allen and the Texans picked Lovie Smith. Brian Flo- res lawsuit will expose the blatant racism in the NFL.
Smith was the Texans' associate head coach and de- fensive coordinator this past season.
"I'm humbled to be the next head coach of the Hous- ton Texans and incredibly ex- cited to continue to work with Nick," Smith said in a statement. Un-Retire - To Tampa Bay Bucs Or San Francisco 49ers?
TOM BRADY
Are the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers saying "Never Say Never'' regarding the idea of Tom Brady "un-retiring''?
The Atlanta Falcons might be fine with part of this rumor, but troubled by an- other part.
According to NFL Net- work, the Bucs aren’t ready to close the door on Tom Brady for 2022 just yet. Tampa is apparently willing to do whatever it can in order to get the legendary Brady to change his mind.
Indeed, it was Brady himself who uttered the phrase "never say never” re- garding a potential some-day return via his “Let’s Go” pod- cast.
The 44-year-old icon made it pretty clear that he feels he "owes'' time to his family. But the Bucs would be wise to hold out hope, with some sort of timetable limit in place, that their MVP might change course.
Meanwhile, the buzz has it that Brady engineering a comeback might have some- thing to do with hooking up with his hometown San Fran- cisco 49ers. And at the same time, the word is that the Bucs - short of retaining Brady - will go all-in on the idea of trading for the likes of Seahawks quarterback Rus- sell Wilson and Texans quarterback Deshaun Wat- son.
Both those ideas are rather messy and compli- cated. But the effort would be worth it; any of those three guys might figure to keep Tampa Bay at the top of the NFC South ... and keep the Atlanta Falcons from rising as high and as quickly as they would like.

LeBron James set a record on Saturday, but not THE record. After hitting a third-quarter 3-pointer, James has officially scored more points all-time in the regular season and playoffs than any other player.
He passes fellow Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the record. However, the Na- tional Basketball Assn. con- siders the all-time scoring record to be regular season
only. Thus, Abdul-Jabbar is still No. 1 in the books as the official scoring champion.
LeBron now has 44,152 points, three more than Abdul-Jabbar’s regular and postseason total, and he did that in 181 fewer games.
However, at his current pace, LeBron should pass him for regular season honors either late next season or in the first part of the 2023-24 season.
Team USA's Erin Jackson
Becomes First Black
Woman To Win Olympic
Speedskating Gold
Erin Jackson has be- come the first Black woman to win a speedskating medal at the Winter Olympics. A gold one, at that.
Jackson won the 500 meters Sunday with a time of 37.04 seconds, giving the American speedskating pro- gram its first speedskating medal of the Beijing Games and first individual medal since 2010.
But this one meant much more than national pride.
The 29-year-old Jack- son, a former inline skater who switched to the ice shortly before the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, joined fellow American Shani Davis as the only Black athletes to win speed- skating medals at the Olympics.
The silver went to Miho Takagi of Japan, while An- gelina Golikova of the Russian team took the bronze.
Erin Jackson celebrates after winning gold at the Bei- jing Winter Olympics, Feb. 13, 2022.
Jackson's gold came after the native of balmy Ocala, Florida, slipped at the U.S. trials and shockingly fin- ished third, putting her spot on the Olympic team in jeop- ardy.
But teammate Brittany Bowe, who finished first at the trials, gave up her spot on the team to ensure Jackson would get to skate in Beijing.
At the time, Jackson praised Bowe, calling her an "amazing friend, teammate and mentor."
