MS. BRIDGETTE SHULER

Bridgette Shuler, 60, of Tampa, Florida, was called home on February 3, 2022, after living a fulfilling life surrounded by her children and family. Bridgette was born on February 27, 1961, to Mattie Shuler-Porter and George Shuler, Sr. (deceased) in Lake Placid, Florida. After Bridgette graduated from Hillsborough High School, she went on to study various studies and crafts.
Bridgette was predeceased by: her father, George Shuler, Sr., David Porter (grandfather), Bessie Porter (grandmother), Robert Porter (uncle), Minnie Davis (aunt), Nettie Dennis (aunt), George Dennis (uncle) and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her mother, Mattie Shuler-Porter; daughter, LaToya Shuler (Mar- cus); sons, Larry Rivers, Jr., Wendell Rivers (Ashley), Kevin Shuler; sisters, Jeanette Fields (Lamar), Phyllis Shuler, Vivian Conrad (Ronald); brother, George Shuler, Jr. (Catherine); fiancé; Gregory Trigg; aunts, Betty Warren (Freddie), Addie White (Robert), Delores Johnson (Leonard), Bessie Carradine, Na- dine Williams, Irene Green (Ben- jamin); uncles, David Porter, Jr., Marvin Porter (May Jean) Char- lie Porter (Frankie), Russell Porter (Tarkesha), Roosevelt Shuler (Connie) and Sammy Shuler; granddaughter, Wynter Rivers; stepdaughter, Ebony; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It’s incredibly difficult to sum up the impact and influence a mother has on those around her, especially in the form of an obit- uary.
I am leaving you with a gift, peace of mind and heart and the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give so don’t be troubled or afraid...John 14:27.

MR. JAMES (JIMMY) BOGAN, JR.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. James (Jimmy) Bogan, Jr., who transitioned early Fri- day morning February 4, 2022, at 6:19 a.m. will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, 1:00 p.m. Graveside at Rest Haven Memo- rial Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa. Florida, 33610. Evangelist Emanuel James, Eu- logist.
Mr. James Bogan, Jr., was born October 28, 1942, in Gainesville, Florida, and raised in Tampa. He attended Middle- ton High School Class of 61’. James worked in Hospitality and Detailed cars. He loved playing the piano and keyboard. He was the oldest of fourteen children.
He was preceded in death by: Corlis Bogan; wife; parents, James Bogan, Sr., and Emma McNish Bogan; ten siblings 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Cherished memories left with: devoted sister, Evangelist Bettie Bogan Viverette (Ed- ward); 2 brothers, Gerald Bogan, Larry Bogan; devoted niece, Sharlen Viverette; nieces, Sherria Lewis, (Ronald), Jacqueline Bogan Franklin, Sabrina Viverette, Anita (Michael) Riley, Shante Bogan Dumas, and Eboni Bogan; nephews, Henry Bogan, Jr., Willie Leath, Jr., Anthony Leath, Jeffrey Viverett, Sr., Robert ( Trina) Guia, Jr., Earl McKinley, Jr., Javin Bogan, Daniel Bogan, Travon Bogan; Special friend, Evangelist Emanuel James and Deacon Perry Floyd, Cousin Eddie Mae (Harry) Mitchell; a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives, and friends.

MR. HERMAN GAY, JR.
Mr. Herman “Gay Poppa” Gay, Jr. of Wimauma, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, Feb- ruary 19, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel Street, Wimauma, Florida, 33598, with Rev. Ikie Bunton, officiat- ing. MASKS RECOMMENDED. Interment will follow in Wimauma Community Ceme- tery, adjacent to First Prospect Church, 6012 Edina Street, Wimauma, Florida 33598.
Herman Gay, Jr., was born to the union of Herman and Elizabeth Gay, Sr., on June 14, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Hillsborough County Public schools, graduating from Middleton High School in Tampa. He later attended Bar- tow Technical College to fur- ther his career in Industrial Mechanics. He worked in the Phosphate Industry until he re- tired.
Mr. Gay was preceded in death by: his parents, Herman and Elizabeth Gay, Sr.; sisters, Katherine Gay-Cox, Shirley Gay and Neomia Allen-Steven- son; one granddaughter; and two great grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, his wife, Sonya Gay; children, Dwight Gay, Yolanda Gay, Traci Smith (Reggie), Jer- maine Gay, Stephanie Malone (Ralph), Herman Gay, III, Shanay Jones, Le’Andre Lee and Azavian Gay; god-daugh- ter, Ebony Young; siblings, Grace Bryant (Julius), Daisy Gay-Willis, Elizabeth A. Gay, and Lula Wormley (Edward); mother-in-law, Shirley Rice (Robert); and brother-in-law, Kelvin Jones, Jr., (Dolce); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. MRS. BERTHENESS BRYANT
Mrs. Bertheness Bryant, of Tampa, Florida, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Celebration of Life Services were held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at First Bap- tist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto St., Tampa, FL, 33607, with Rev. Anthony W. Greene, officiating. Interment fol- lowed at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mother Bertheness Bryant was born on June 2, 1926, to Den- nis Mount and Jewell Mitchell, in Donaldsonville, Georgia. She spent her childhood with her grandparents, parents and sister, Marion Duboise.
During World War II, she married David A. Bryant, Sr., on June 14, 1943. Bertheness and David were married for 79 years, and they traveled the world dur- ing his 30 years of military serv- ice. In 1951 they settled in Tampa when they purchased a home in the Lincoln Gardens community. She was a member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church on Ne- braska Avenue, and a proud member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. Mother Bryant loved the Lord, Pastor Greene and the church community.
She was a church going woman who lived the life of a Christian. She never met a stranger that did not become a friend. She treated everyone the way she wanted to be treated. Be- sides being a loving and devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed na- ture by taking walks in the park, gardening and fishing every week. Mother Bryant also enjoyed sewing for her girls and close friends. She loved to cook and bake her famous pound cakes. She was much loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Mother Bryant leaves to for- ever cherish fond and loving memories: her husband, David A. Bryant, Sr.; four children, David A. Bryant, Jr., (Delorise), Wanda Lisa Brown (Wayne), Ryel Denise Buggs (Ron) and Reanata Yvette Hickman (Phillip); grandsons, Wayne Brown, Jr., Phillip Hick- man, Jr., David A. Bryant, III, Arthur David Hickman, and Gre- gory Marcus Brooks, Jr.; grand- daughters, Aleysha Denee Bryant and Zuri Marguisa Brooks; great grandsons, Cameron Ashton Hickman and Alexander Arthur Hickman; great granddaughters, Zariah Ray, Arya Rose Hickman, and Penelope Belle Hickman; and a host of other relatives, neigh- bors and friends.

Mr. Emanuel Dont’e Dixon, Sr. of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Celebration of Life Serv- ices will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle, 1002 S. Church Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33629, with Pastor Lorenzo Charles Warren, Jr., officiating. MASKS RECOM- MENDED. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Emanuel A.K.A. “Tampa Bay Man” Dont’e Dixon, Sr., was born on March 22, 1984, in Tampa, Florida, and he was a resident for 37 years. He was educated in the Hillsborough County Public Schools system and graduated from Durant High School. In his free time, “Man” enjoyed the company of his family, making Rap music with his brother, and cheering on his favorite NFL team, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was lov- ing, funny, and caring to any- one he met.
He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Louise Rivers; grandfathers, Leon Solomon and David Edwards, Sr.; uncle, Charles Dixon; and aunt, Mildred Thomas.
Emanuel leaves to cherish loving memories: his mother and father, Tammie and Christopher Warren, Sr.; two children, daughter, Emari Dixon and son, Emanuel Dixon, Jr., (mother, Shanetta); brothers, Christopher Warren, Jr., and Jeremy Chapman; sis- ters, Keshia Warren, Jalissa Warren (fiancé, Dorrell), Alexis Chapman, and Joy Chapman; grandmother, Ella Mae Dixon; aunts, Audry Grif- fin (Walter), Sharon Ransom, Kathy Warren, Linda Solomon (Darniece), Trencia Warren, and Julia Solomon; great aunt, Elenora Rivers; uncles, Napolean Dixon, Joseph Rivers, Curtis Rivers, and Lorenzo C.
