  Tampa Man
A Tampa man has pleaded guilty to filing a false income tax return. He is facing a maxi- mum of three years in federal prison.
According to the plea agree- ment, in 2017, Steven Brick- ner raised money from investors allegedly for use in the creation of a marijuana growing and distribution enter- prise. Brickner failed to re- port to his tax preparer approximately $1.05 million of “income” that he had earned during that tax year. The source of that income was the invest- ment activity that he operated during 2017.
Brickner used a significant portion of that income to pur- chase high-end vehicles for his own use and for other purposes and activities that were not business-related. If he had re- ported all those funds as “in- come,” the inclusion of these funds would have resulted in a substantial amount of an addi- tional tax due for that year. Thus, Brickner’s failure to re- port the income caused a signif- icant loss of tax revenue to the United States. A sentencing date has not been set.
Threat

Making Bomb
On February 6th, a 9-1-1 dispatcher received a call from a man claiming he was outside and going to bomb the Seminole Police Depart- ment. The man reportedly said, “I’m about to come in right now” and “I’m at the door.” He said he could see an officer smoking outside and added, “Let me deal with that real quick while you are on the phone... Let me mute it, I don’t want you to hear what I’m about to do to that dude...I got a grenade.”
The man was identified as
Alexander Andrew Wood, 34, of Lakeland. He was arrested in Gainesville.
Wood also told the dis- patcher information about the chief and where he lived during one of several calls. He also said a little girl did not live there anymore because he was holding her. “I want blood for the blood that was taken from me by the officers who came looking for me,

served me with a trespass and then put their hands on me.” An SPD detective recog-
nized the voice on the call from previous contact with Wood. He has a history of making violent threats and attempted to purchase a gun on January 19, 2022.
Cell phone records showed that the calls were made from a hotel in Gainesville.
Wood was charged with making a bomb threat and is being held on $500,000 bond.
