Masjid An-Nasr, in part- nership with Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Re- lief, is organizing its first an- nual Back to School Give Away in one of the most eco- nomically challenged com- munities in Tampa.
Chaikirah Parker, the Public Relations Director For Masjid An-Nasr says, “Char- ity is a fundamental principle of our faith tradition. So we wanted to help those families in need.”
The Back2School Give Away will take place in Sul- phur Springs at Masjid An- Nasr (Mosque), 905 East Skagway Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. We will have nutri- tious snacks, refreshments, Islamic literature, and clean music. The event will begin at 1p.m.–4p.m.(untilsup- plies last).

The Hillsborough County Public School District and their health partners will host a series of health clinics. The clinics are designed to insure that students meet all health requirements needed to begin class next month.
The Health Fairs will offer students entering kinder- garten through 12th grade, free physicals, immunizations, school supplies and more.
The Hillsborough C0unty School District, in partnership with the Back to School Coali- tion of Hillsborough County and Project LINK, are provid- ing the heath fairs in different areas throughout the county.
Families must pre-reg- ister to attend the health fairs. Parents can register by visiting www.back2schoolfair. org.
The dates and locations of the Health Fairs are as follows:
Saturday, July 27, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Plant City —- Swindle Medical Center, 1601 West Timberlane Dr., Plant City
Ruskin —- Lennard High School, 2342 Shell Point Road, E. Ruskin
Saturday, Aug. 3, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
East Tampa —- Middle- ton High School, 4801 N. 22nd Street, Tampa
North Tampa —- Bowers Whitley Career Center, 13609 N. 22nd Street
Saturday, Aug. 10, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
West Tampa —- Blake High School, 1701 N. Blvd., Tampa.
On Saturday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., there will be a Health and Job Fair at Leto High School, 4409 W. Sligh Avenue, Tampa. No registration is required for this health fair.
In addition, Hillsborough County Public Schools, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Bullard Family Foundation are hosting the Back to School Bash powered by Walmart and Advent Health on Saturday, August 3, from 8:01 a.m.- 2:01 p.m., at Raymond James Stadium.
This FREE event is open to all Hillsborough County K-12 students.
Parents and guardians can register their child on site to receive FREE physicals, eye exams, haircuts, school sup- plies and food (while supplies last). There will be fun activi- ties for the whole family throughout the day.

 Sons Of Allen, Night In Black Ball
For the seventh consecutive year, the Sons of Allen of St. James A. M. E. Church is having its annual ball in an effort to bring the community together while helping our youth.
The ‘Night in Black Ball’ begins Friday, August 9th, at 6:45 p. m. The location of the event will be at the Bartow Civic Center, 2250 South Floral Avenue, Bartow, Florida. There will be dining, prizes, dancing and awards. Tickets are available for this black semi-formal attire event.
