Man Arrested In Palm River Triple Murders
Search Continues
For Armed Robbery
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently try- ing to identify a man accused of committing an armed rob- bery. The incident took place on Friday, February 22, 2019.
According to police, a Black man entered the Mid- Florida Credit Union, 3203 Waters Avenue. He walked up to a teller and produced a handgun. He gave the teller a note demanding money. After receiving the money, he fled the scene in an unknown di- rection.
The man is described as being between the ages of 28- 35 and had black and silver dreads. Police said the dreads may have been a wig to dis- guise his identity.
Police said the vehicle he fled the scene in after the rob- bery has been located. How- ever, the suspect remains at large.

On November 15th, of last year, firemen with the Hills- borough County Fire Depart- ment responded to a call at 6221 16th Avenue, South. The firemen discovered a mobile home in the back of the property on fire.
Once the fire was extin- guished, the firemen located three bodies inside the struc- ture. The deceased were identified as Derek Archie, who would have celebrated his 32nd birthday on Monday, November 19th; 28-year-old Xavier Greene, and Ms. Haley Stone, 20, all of Tampa. Police said the cause of death was a result of upper
body trauma.
Last Friday, Detectives
with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office ar- rested 23-year-old Ricky Wilkerson, Jr., and charged him with three counts of first-degree mur- der, armed burglary of a dwelling, and robbery with a firearm. He is currently being held at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail without bond.
At the time of the mur- ders, police obtained video surveillance from the area. The video showed three peo- ple getting out of a white Nis- san Altima. The cameras also
captured a gray Infiniti at the residence. One of the occu- pants set the residence on fire and fled the scene.
Detectives identified that person as 28-year-old Xavier Whitehead. Whitehead was arrested on December 1, 2018, and charged with arson.
Five days after the triple murder, Tampa Police lo- cated the white Nissan Al- tima. A records check revealed that Wilkerson was the registered owner of the vehicle. During the inves- tigation, detectives identified Wilkerson as the suspect in the triple murder.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an accident. The accident took place Saturday night.
According to Tampa Po- lice, Nicholas J. Schreiber was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on South Westshore Blvd., at a high rate of speed. Schreiber attempted to pass another ve- hicle in the left turn lane.
The Jeep struck a raised median and several trees. It then crossed over into the on- coming traffic lane and struck a Toyota Camry head-on, po- lice said.
Both vehicles burst into flames. The passenger in the Jeep died at the scene as a re- sult of the injuries sustained in the accident. After the acci- dent, Schreiber remained at the scene.
Police said Schreiber began making spontaneous statements, admitting to drinking alcoholic beverages.

Tampa Police conducted a DUI investigation and ob- tained a voluntary blood draw from Schreiber. He was medically cleared before being transported to the Hillsbor- ough County jail, where he was charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, and DUI property damage.
The driver of the Camry re- ceived minor injuries, police said.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who broke into a restau- rant. The burglary took place Saturday morning.
According to police, the man gained access to the Burger King, 10395 Big Bend Road, in Ruskin, by climbing through the drive thru window. After forcibly entering the busi- ness, the suspect removed cash from the register and left using the back door of the business.
He is described as a white male, between the ages of 35 and 45, 5’6” to 6’ tall, and weighing between 160 and 190 pounds. He also work red gloves and a camouflage hoodie.
