LocalMusic, Family Fun And The Celebration Of Heritage Set For Downtown Tampa
The 2-Day Music Fest will be a celebration of local, regional, and national talent and cultur- ally enriching food & retail vendors, and music from R&B, Funk, Jazz, Gospel, and Pop.
The finalized line-up for the 22nd Annual Celebration of the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival (TBBHF) & Music Fest has been announced.
Starting the year off with fes- tival fun, the Tampa Bay Black Heritage 2-Day Music Fest will be taking place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (600 N. Ash- ley Dr., Tampa, FL) in down- town Tampa, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Weekend, Janu- ary 15-16.
On Saturday, the electrifying Pop/R&B/Funk group, The Bar-Kays and R&B/Pop
artist Jane Eugen Formerly of Loose Ends, will perform. On Sunday, national jazz
Euge Groove will set the stage, and renowned Grammy award winning, Gospel artist, Erica Campbell, the other half of the group Mary Mary, will take to the stage.

Coronavirus Cases On Rise In Florida
The state had nearly 126,000 more people test positive since Friday.
Monday normally brings two days’ worth of updated COVID- 19 data from state and federal health officials.
According to WUSF News, the figures released Monday were among some of the high- est numbers yet in Florida.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Preven- tion, almost 126,000 more Floridians tested positive for the coronavirus since Friday. That brings the state's total to almost 4.76 million cases.
In addition, the state added 182 new deaths due to COVID-
19 related complications, rais- ing that total to 62,810.
The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services re- ported hospitalizations for COVID-19 also spiked higher Monday. Just under 9,900 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 in Florida, up al- most 800 from a day earlier WUSF News reported.
That remains under Delta's peak of more than 15,000 pa- tients, but it's the highest num- ber of hospitalizations since mid-September.
On Monday, Hillsborough County opened another testing site at Hillsborough Commu- nity College Brandon.
