A New Police Headquarters In East Tampa? Not So Fast, One Group Says
Tom Brady Unsurprisingly Still
The Tampa City Council has approved a $6.2 million amendment to build a brand- new police department head- quarters in east Tampa.
City officials said the current headquarters location down- town needs too many repairs to fix. But now, one group is pushing against the decision to relocate, saying the city could allocate the money elsewhere. However, city officials say this could bring around 500 posi- tions to that building.
But the Tampa Bay Commu- nity Action Committee said the building will only cause prob- lems for the predominantly black community where it will be located.
The new building would be
Best-Selling Jerseys List
TPD BUILDING
More than 14 months after he signed with the Buccaneers, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP still has two of the top-selling jerseys in the NFL. According to a graphic tweeted Friday by FOX Sports NFL that included the 15 best-sell- ing jerseys in the league right now, Brady’s white jersey is No. 6, while his red jersey is (perhaps fittingly) No. 12. In the graphic, both jerseys have the Super Bowl LV patch, seemingly indicating that those specific Super Bowl jer- seys are the hot ones on the market.
Looking at the rest of the jerseys in the top 15, you really

get an idea of just how popular Brady’s No. 12 jersey is. The top two spots currently belong to Tim Tebow, who is back in the league for the first time in six years. Spots three, four and five belong to rookie Justin Fields. Then comes Brady at No. 6.

The city says it will house
the police department, as well as emergency management.
The organization says the issue is the heavy price tag to
build it all as well as putting more law enforcement in areas.
The organization said a major concern would be over policing in the area.
Drug Cartels Hunting Down And Killing Cops In Front Of Their Families On Their Days Off
The notoriously violent Jalisco cartel has responded to Mexico's “hugs, not bullets” policy with a policy of their own: the cartel kid- napped in mid-May 2021, several members of an elite police force in the state of Guanajuato, tortured them to obtain names and ad- dresses of fellow officers, and are now hunting down and killing police at their homes, on their days off, in front of their families.
Mexico’s Jalisco cartel is hunt- ing down law enforcement offi- cers and killing them in their homes, on their days off, in front of their families, according to reports.
The drug gangs have system- atically tracked down members of the elite Tactical Group by using personal information ex- tracted from a team of its offi- cers recently captured and tortured in the state of Guanaju- ato.
The cartel declared war on law enforcement in May, despite President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s plans to avoid bloodshed in dealing with the crime syndicates.
“If you want war, you’ll get a
war,” read a banner that was hung from a building in Guana- juato. “We have already shown that we know where you are. We are coming for all of you.”
The banner also warned that for every one of its mem- bers arrested, two Tactical Group police officers will be ex- ecuted “wherever they are.”
The body of one officer who was taken from his home and killed last week was dumped onto a highway Thursday. Police won’t say how many officers the Jalisco cartel has murdered, though Guanajuato-based se- curity analyst David Saucedo says “a lot of” officers have abandoned the police force and gone into hiding.
