Jayson Tatum Agrees To 5-Year, $195M Extension With Celtics

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum has agreed to a five-year, $195 million desig- nated rookie max extension.
Tatum was a first-time All-Star last season, averaging 23.4 points on 45% shooting (40% on 3s) while grabbing 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Rajon Rondo Reaches 2-Year Deal With Atlanta Hawks

After saying goodbye to the Los Angeles Lakers in an In- stagram post earlier in the day, guard Rajon Rondo agreed to a two-year, $15 million con- tract with the Atlanta Hawks.
The Hawks are determined to get better defensively in the backcourt rotation, bringing in Rondo, who will be entering his 15th season in the league, and Kris Dunn on two-year deals.
Tristan Thompson Reaches Deal With Celtics

Free agent center Tristan Thompson has reached an agreement with the Boston Celtics on a two-year, $19 mil- lion contract.
Thompson spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former No. 4 overall pick aver- aged a double-double (12.0 ppg; 10.1 rpg) for a second con- secutive season.

Jazz To Sign Derrick Favors, Re-Sign Jordan Clarkson
After spending the major- ity of his career with the Jazz, Derrick Favors is report- edly ready for a reunion.
According to multiple re- ports, the veteran big man will return to the team that traded former All-Star point guard Deron Williams to acquire him in 2011. Favors spent the next eight years providing solid frontcourt production for the Jazz before joining New Orleans via a trade last season. Favors started in 49 of the 51 games he played for New Orleans, averaging a career-high 9.8 rebounds in just 24.4 minutes per game.
