Building Your Community Foundation Opens Friday Prayer Service To The Community
Building Your Commu- nity Foundation is opening Friday Prayer Services (JU- MAAH) to the Tampa Bay community. Friday Prayer Services will focus on com- munity development through self improvement which is the basis for true community development.
The Foundation hopes to bring a positive image to Islamic Prayer Services (JUMAAH) to better hu- manity. The Friday Prayer Services will cover topics af- fecting the community, such as, “Mixed Feeling and Controversy,” “Overcoming Difficultly,” “Building Human Potential,” and “The Struggle For Balance,” and others. These topics are aimed to help rebuild the community and help make the community a safe place.
“Let us remember: that
the Mosque is a place where people can repair or come out of a world that repre- sents death and inhale the spirit of life in an atmos- phere of peace, harmony, freedom, justice and equal- ity; which is to give a proto- type of the Kingdom of Islam (God).
“Today, however, the mosque must also be a launching pad for activities, to establish the kingdom of Islam (God) on Earth. Therefore, self- develop- ment is an absolutely essen- tial component of this microcosm of the new world.” ... The Honorable Minister Louis Far- rakhan.
Building Your Commu- nity Foundation also holds self defense classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p. m. for the community in conjunction with Friday
Prayer Services. The Foun- dation also looks forward to adopting communities in the Tampa Bay Area for clean up details and men- toring the youth in the near future. The Foundation members who were once subjected to the ‘vices of the street’ have pledged to help rebuild a community that many of them may have had hands in destroying.
The Building Your Com- munity Foundation was founded by Jihad Amos Muhammad through a vi- sion of improving his com- munity. The Friday Prayer Service (JUMAAH) will be held on Friday at 905 E. Skagway Ave., door opens at1p.m.
