Jameis Winston Seeking
San Diego Jeweler Responds To $9M Lawsuit From Drew Brees
DREW BREES
Drew Brees recently signed a contract extension with the New Orleans Saints that includes $27 million guar- anteed, but that is not stopping the star quarterback from pur- suing a payout he believes he is owed from a jeweler.
Brees filed a lawsuit on Monday against Vahid Moradi, the owner of the CJ Charles jewelry shop in San Diego. In the documents, Brees claims he has spent roughly $15 million at Moradi’s store over the years buying watches, earrings and rings among other items. Brees said he was assured by Moradi that the jewelry was a good investment and would in- crease in value, but he appar- ently had his collection appraised recently and it is worth $9 million less than he paid for it.
The lawsuit states that the biggest discrepancy is with a 4.09 carat blue diamond ring Brees bought in 2015 for $8.18 million in 2015. He says the item recently appraised for $3.75 million. Moradi’s attor- ney, Eric M. George, insists his client has done absolutely nothing wrong.
“Drew Brees aggressively purchased multi-million dollar pieces of jewelry. Years later, claiming to suffer ‘cash flow problems,’ he tried to bully my client into undoing the trans- actions,” George said. “Mr. Brees’s behavior and his be- lief that he was wronged be- cause the jewelry did not appreciate in value as quickly as he hoped both demonstrate a lack of integrity and contra- dict basic principles of both economics and the law.
Von Miller Catches Huge Shark On Fishing Trip
    Advice From Veteran
QBs Across The NFL
Von Miller probably did- n’t enjoy the five-win season he and his Denver Broncos teammates put together in 2017, but it looks like the off- season is treating the star pass-rusher just fine.
Miller went on a fishing trip with some friends off the coast of Miami this week, and let’s just say the venture was a success. The crew hooked and reeled in a hammerhead shark that was nearly 10 feet in length.
It’s abundantly obvious that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Win- ston is determined to be great and hopes to emerge as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
So in his quest to accom- plish the feat, Winston has been seeking advice from vet- eran quarterbacks across the league about managing in- juries after suffering a shoul- der injury that forced him to miss three games.
During the NFL’s owners meetings, coach Dirk Koet- ter explained how he has been talking to other quarter- backs, seeking advice regard- ing the matter.

Koetter added that Win- ston has been studying elite veteran quarterbacks across the league all offseason long and is trying to learn how to prevent future injuries that could arise during his NFL ca- reer.

Robert Griffin, III Signs With Ravens In NFL Return
Brandin Cooks To Rams For First, Sixth-Round Picks
After spending 2017 in NFL exile, Robert Griffin, III is going to get his third NFL shot.
The former Heisman Tro- phy winner and second over- all pick of the 2012 draft agreed to a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Wednesday.

game revolves around operat- ing from the pocket, whereas Griffin’s greatest asset has always been the threat of his mobility.
The Los Angeles Rams’ wild offseason continues.
Even though the Rams lost Sammy Watkins in free agency this offseason, they have made up for it by acquiring Brandin Cooks in a trade with the New Eng- land Patriots.
The Patriots are trading Cooks and a fourth-round pick to the Rams for a first and sixth-round pick.
The Patriots now hold the Nos. 23 and 31 overall picks in the draft, as well Nos. 43 (via San Francisco) and 63. New England may have traded away Jimmy Garop- polo, but they have plenty of

picks to trade up to develop Tom Brady’s successor if they so choose.
The Rams are also out of the Odell Beckham, Jr. trade sweepstakes following this move, while the Patriots appear to be set on keeping Rob Gronkowski.
  Robby Anderson Has Felony
  Charges Dropped, Only
Facing Reckless Driving
Robby Anderson was arrested for the second time in a year back in January and was facing a total of nine charges, but the New York Jets wide receiver looks like he is going to get off quite easy.
Anderson was arrested on Jan. 19 after he reportedly sped past a marked police car while driving over 105 mph. He then allegedly threatened to sexually assault an officer’s wife, and some of his charges included harm to a public ser- vant/family, reckless driving, eluding police, and resisting arrest.
The felony charges have been dropped and Anderson is now only facing one misde- meanor count of reckless driv- ing.

season with the Jets in 2017, catching 63 passes for 941 yards and and seven touch- downs. He was also arrested last year for allegedly getting into a physical altercation with a police officer at a music fes- tival.
Despite the two arrests, the Jets have not indicated that they are going to release the 24-year-old.
