Accident
Investigation Into Fatal Accident Continues
The Florida Highway Pa- trol is investigating an acci- dent that left a pedestrian dead. The accident happened Saturday night on Bruin Drive, in Pasco County.
According to police, Christopher J. Ryan, 29, was walking along the road when he was struck by a vehi- cle driven by 27-year-old Austin Patrick Payne. Ms. Patricia Flynn, 24, was a passenger in Payne’s vehicle.
Investigators said Payne struck Ryan and the impact threw him to the side of the road. Ryan died at the scene.
After striking Ryan, police said Payne drove to his home which was nearby. Neither Payne nor Ms. Flynn were injured.
Charges in the case are pending the outcome of the investigation.
