16 Deputies Elevated To New Positions

Earlier this month, Hills- borough County Sheriff Chad Chronister pro- moted long time employee, Col. Donna Lusczynski, to the position of Chief Deputy. It was the first time in more than 14 years since a member of the Sheriff’s Of- fice had been elevated to the post.
Last week, Sheriff Chronister promoted sev- eral other deputies. The pro- motions were announced by Sheriff Chronister and Chief Deputy Lusczyn- ski.
Sheriff Chronister and Chief Deputy Lusczynski met with each person indi- vidually to recognize them for their service and person- ally hand them their new badge and collar rank.
Sheriff Chronister
said, “Promotions such as these are a symbol of the trust and faith that we have in these amazing men and women. These professionals earned their titles through hard work and dedication and I cannot wait to see their impact on our Agency and our community.”
Major James Brad- ford, Uniform Patrol Dis- trict IV, has been promoted to Colonel of Department of Investigative Services.

Captain Joel Rios,
Homeland Security Division, will assume his duties as major of Homeland Security Division.
Captain Michael Far- rier, Jail Division II, will be- come the Major of Jail Division III.
Captain Dennis Foga- rty, District II, will be ele- vated to Major of District II.
Captain Melissa Moore, Jail Division I, will serve as Major of Jail Divi- sion I.
Captain Christi Es- quinaldo, Child Protection Investigation Division, will assume the duties of Major of Child Protection Investi- gation Division.
Lieutenant Geoffrey Harris, Special Investiga- tions Division, will serve as Captain of Special Investiga- tions Division.
Lieutenant Donald Morris, District II, has been named Captain of District II.
Lieutenant Jason Palazzi will remain in the Jail Division I, but will serve as its Captain of Jail Division I.
Lieutenant Robert Rodriguez, Child Protec- tion Investigation Division, is the Captain of District V.
Lieutenant Thomas, St. John Community Out- reach Division, to Captain of Community Outreach Divi- sion.
Lieutenant Craig Timko, Criminal Investiga- tions, Division to Captain of Criminal Investigations Divi- sion.
