Tuskegee Researchers Developing
Teen Laid To Rest; 7 Arrested For His Gruesome Murder
Lesandro Junior Guzman-Feliz was killed last Tuesday.
New Testing Method For Aggressive
Breast Cancer In Black Women
TUSKEGEE, AL —- Re- searchers from Tuskegee University developed a new testing method to detect the most aggressive and fatal form of breast cancer in Black women. The finding uncov- ered a fourth biological test- ing marker used to subtype breast cancer, and could offer a potential breakthrough in early detection and more “precise” methods of treating the disease.
A total of 1,258 patients were analyzed for the study. The findings determined that androgen receptors could be used as a prognostic marker for breast cancer, particularly in triple and quadruple nega- tive breast cancers, as de- tailed in a report published

OAKLAND, CA — Alison Ettel, the woman who the In- ternet dubbed “Permit Patty” has resigned from her CEO role at TreatWell, a cannabis company for humans and an- imals.
According to CBS News in California, at least three Bay Area dispensaries that sold TreatWell are no longer carry- ing the brand after a video of Ettel calling the cops on Jor- dyn Rodgers - an eight- year-old who was selling water- went viral.
Rodgers, a black girl, was trying to raise money to go to Disneyland.
Alison Ettel’s action has had great consequences.
The woman claimed that
she was “illegally selling water without a permit.” Ettel said she was calling the cops be- cause the child was “yelling,” and there was no racial moti- vation for the phone call. However, the Internet seems to think otherwise.
When interviewed by CNN, “Permit Patty” said “It has tarnished my name, but also [TreatWell’s] name...
They are actually going out there and bullying people, and telling people to pull our things off the shelf and to boy- cott, even if they are not even customers at that location. They are getting harassed.”

BRONX, NY — Seven men are being held in connection with the brutal machete mur- der of Bronx teen Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz. According to reports, several of the suspects were picked up in New Jersey, and extra- dited to New York Tuesday (June 26)
One suspect, 19-year- old Kevin Alvarez was seen wearing a dark hoodie and hanging his head as police es- corted him from a Bronx criminal court. Alvarez is being held without bond and faces second-degree murder, manslaughter, assault and gang assault. During an ar- raignment hearing last week Alvarez pled not guilty to all the charges.
Alvarez is specifically ac- cused of dragging Junior “through the threshold.” The Passaic County prosecutor’s office released the names of six other men involved in the gruesome murder, in what investigators are calling a case of mistaken identity.
The men are 21-year-old Jose Muniz of Patterson, NJ; Jose Taverez, 21, Manuel Rivera, 18, and Danel Fernandez, 21 all from The Bronx; Jonika Martinez, 24, from Freeport, NY and Santiago Rodriguez, 24, also from
The Bronx.
A source close to the in-
vestigation told PIX11 law en- forcement is also speaking with someone in the Domini- can Republic who may be connected to the killing.
Affectionately known as Junior, on June 20 the teen left his Bronx home at about 11:30PM to loan a friend $5. It’s unclear if he was heading back home when he was at- tacked inside a bodega on the corner of 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue. It was there he was dragged outside and slashed several and stabbed several times, the fatal blow to his neck. Sur- veillance footage from the at- tack shows Junior running towards St. Barnabus Hospi- tal where he died.
With the help of video footage, and social media, police were able to track down the men responsible. Law enforcement say the sus- pects being held may be part of the Dominican gang, Trini- tarios.
After Monday’s wake, Ju- nior’s mother was seen walking out of the funeral home and was met with ap- plause from the commu- nity also shouting Junior!
“I need justice for my son,” Leandra Feliz said. “That’s my Junior baby.”
