Tampa Native Graduates From Flight School
    SECOND LT. MARCUS HOLTON
Recently, family and friends attended the U. S. Army Flight School Gradua- tion Ceremony. The event was held at the U. S. Army Aviation Center of Excel- lence, in Fort Rucker, Ala- bama.
Second Lt. Marcus Holton was among those participating in their respec- tive graduation ceremonies.
A Tampa native, Second Lt. Holton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Va- lerie) Holton. Several Tampa residents traveled to Fort Rucker to congratulate him on his graduation from Flight School.
Others who graduated as Aviation Commissioned Of- ficers were Second Lts.: Chase Archibeque, Em- manuel Ayala, Shane Bell, Doyle Carpenter, Micha Cattell, Jeremy Dorff, Aaron Gehne, Ryan Kelly, Todd Lev- eillee, Timothy Lewis, Gregory O’Malley, Ralph Padilla, Forrest Rivera, Sarah Saleck, and Samuel Wetlesen.

Among those present at the graduation ceremony were: Elaine Whitehead, Rebecca Johnson, Teresa Duval, the honoree, Second Lt. Marcus Holton, Valerie Holton, mother of the honoree, Winifred McClinton, Ren Whitehead, and Albert Holton, father of the honoree.

Aviation Warrant Offi- cers who graduated are: Gregory Acs, Robert Ap- pell, Joseph Clark, An- drew Doutrich, Keean Dudley, Ray Finlay, Steven Gilmer, Daniel Gonzalez, Justin Hodges, Noah Holland, Brandon Holliday, Carter Howard, Michael Lopez, Jeremy McCallis- ter, Julius Nabor, Bran- don Norsesian, Joseph Rowe, Colby Thompson, and Zachary Zdunich.
The Keynote Address was delivered by CW5 Larry Peterson, Stan- dardization Officer, Combat Aviation Brigade, 35th In- fantry Division, Missouri Army National, Sedalia, Missouri.
CW5 Peterson is a na- tive of Hialeah, Florida. He earned his Airplane, Private Pilot license at the age of 16 through Flight Safety Inter- national. After graduating from high school, he earned his Commercial Airman Certificate and Instrument
rating while attending the Florida Institution of Tech- nology.
CW5 Peterson was chosen for the Warrant Offi- cer Flight Training Program and graduated Initial Entry Rotary Wing Flight Training at Fort Rucker, in 1993.
William K. Gayler, Major General, U. S. A. Commander, congratulated the group. He stated, “This significant milestone in your life represents your unwa- vering discipline, dedica- tion, and service to a calling greater than yourself. You
have worked incredibly hard to get to this point; however, your graduation from Flight School is only the beginning.
“Always strive to be bet- ter tomorrow than you are today. Never stop growing, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.”
