IN MEMORIAM
1ST LADY ARSIE L. “PRECIOUS” SIMS July 26, 1948 – April 28, 2016
Praying and watching, but you were not looking at me.
Praying and hoping that you would be healed and restored but you did not rise.
Praying and telling you that I love you, but you did not re- spond.
Praying, kissing and touching you, but you did not kiss or touch back.
Praying and smiling as I remembered the good times, but you did not smile.
Praying and calling your name, but you did not answer.
God whispered to your soul and I believe you joyfully re- sponded.
Thank You Jesus! Hallelujah and Praise His Holy Name! —Reverend W. D. Sims, 4/25/18
It has been three years since that afternoon when God’s pre-ordained time came that we would know you had left this side to the place of “Paradise” with the Lord. God knew ex- actly when to let us know that He had indeed heard our every prayer and healed you. He did not remove sickness from you, however, He did remove you from sickness and you were healed and restored.
We all miss you every moment of every day, yet we are con- fident that though you are absent from the body you are pres- ent with the Lord. You told me that I had too much work to do and I could not transition for you, I tirelessly continue to work while it is day.
Three years have now slipped into the time called the past and you are still sadly missed by: your Hon/Reverend/Hus- band/Pastor W. D. Sims; daughters and their children: Kim- berly (Caiden, Averie, Jace, Brooklyn); LaDon (Alyssa, Aidan, Auriel); Kandy (Tyreke, Tyrell), along with Mommie Ivory Mabry, Mother Emmeral Latimer; and a host of family mem- bers and friends. Your sister, Cassie McCain is still with me, providing that reassuring and loving support needed as fam- ily and member. The St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church Family continues to remember and memorialize you as their First Lady. They are around to comfort me at all times. Your words continue to ring: “LOVE IS WHAT LOVE DOES!” We all miss and love you much, our beloved Precious.
One day my “Precious,” I will be on that side where you are. I miss and love you MUCH!
We still hear your voice speaking one of your favorite Scriptures: 1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
HAPPY 81st BIRTHDAY! To Our Beloved Mother
