$36,000 In Scholarships Awarded By Tampa Alumnae Chapter Of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In A Virtual Success Story
With the current pan- demic affecting the way we live, work, and serve our community, the Ladies of the Tampa Alumnae Chap- ter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in collabora- tion with D.E.L.T.A., Inc., persevered to circumvent all of the negative implications of the pandemic to award scholarships to deserving high school graduates via a virtual platform.
On Saturday, June 13, the Tampa Alumnae Chap- ter held its first virtual scholarship program -- “Celebrating Your Success: Empowering You.” Under the leadership of Scholar- ship Committee Co-Chairs, Joanell Lawson and Tina James, this committee greeted students and recog- nized them with a program touting music and appropri- ate fanfare for all of their hard work.
