Mom Hospitalized After Incident In Downtown
Protestor Arrested During Saturday Demonstration
An unidentified mother of five was transported to a local hospital last Saturday. Police observed her and the children walking in and out of traffic.
According to the Tampa Police Department, police ar- rived at the intersection of Ashley Dr. and Tyler Street, shortly before 1 p.m. The offi- cers observed a woman and her five children walking in the street. The children were barefoot, police said.
When an officer ap- proached the woman and of- fered to help, she refused assistance while still walking in and out of traffic.
The officers intervened
when the woman attempted to walk on the interstate. When the officers attempted to detain the woman, the chil- dren intervened. The officers were trying to keep the chil- dren from being harmed.
Police transported the mother to a local hospital for evaluation. They also allowed the children to accompany their mother.
The Department of Chil- dren and Family Services re- sponded to the hospital because no relatives could immediately be contacted to take custody of the children.
There were no injuries and no one was arrested.

Office has arrested two peo-
ple in connection with the
shooting of a 15-year-old. The
incident took place on June 23rd.
Marshall Hayes, 20, was charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm from a vehicle within 1,000 feet of a person, tam- pering with evidence, and conspiracy to sell marijuana.
Bellamia Sperandio,
18, was charged with an ac- tive warrant for threats to in- flict serious bodily harm on a law enforcement officer, ac- cessory after the fact of a felony, conspiracy to sell mar- ijuana, tampering with evi- dence, and resisting arrest.
According to police, the investigation began after a 9- 1-1 call was received regard- ing shots fired in the area of Hampstead Place, in Lake Wales. When police arrived, they discovered that a 15- year-old male had been in- jured by gunfire. He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he was admitted in sta- ble condition.

The unidentified driver drove off with the protestor
on his hood. Following an in- vestigation, police arrested Jason Stuart Flores, 35, of Tampa.
Following his arrest, the protestors gathered at the Orient Road Jail, demanding that Flores be released.
Man Gets 17-Year
Two Arrested In Shooting Of Teenager
A St. Petersburg man has been sentenced to more than 17 years and 6 months in prison for his role in a drug trafficking organization. He was charged with conspiring to distribute cocaine, and pleaded guilty on March 24, 2020.
Ceveghnta Billvon Guyden, a.k.a. “Chop,” 42, of St. Petersburg, was one of eleven individuals charged with federal drug trafficking crimes.
The indictment stated that between an unknown date, but no later than August 2018, and continuing through November 26, 2019, the indi- viduals conspired to distrib- ute heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine.

ments, Guyden and a co-de- fendant worked together to purchase and sell cocaine on multiple occasions. In total, Guyden supplied or bro- kered approximately 6.5 kilo- grams of cocaine to a co-defendant.

As the investigation began, police learned that a possible suspect had been communicating with the vic- tim via Snapchat. Her user name was BellaMia0314. Police were able to identify her as Bellamia Speran- dio.
On the day of the shoot- ing, Ms. Sperandio’s boyfriend, identified as Mar- shall Hayes, reportedly drove her to the victim’s neighborhood to sell the vic- tim 8 grams of marijuana. An altercation took place, during which Hayes is alleged to have fired several gunshots at

the victim, hitting him twice. The loaded gun was later found on the road along the escape route they used to flee
the scene, police said.
When police arrived at the
home of Ms. Sperandio, they reportedly located the suspect vehicle parked in the driveway. After being taken into custody. Ms. Speran- dio reportedly admitted to discussing selling marijuana to the victim. However, she denied being in the area when he was shot.
Hayes was arrested after he admitted to shooting the victim during the drug sale.
