Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Of Service Reception
A reception was held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, to recognize those who received grants to conduct projects honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The reception, hosted by Dr. Joan Holmes and Dr. Samuel Wright, Sr., was held in the Ybor Room of Hillsborough Com- munity College. Top Ladies of Distinction is a 501(c3) organization whose mission is dedicated to advancing the standards, ideals, and general welfare of “YOUTHS and ADULTS” in the Tampa Bay area.
The organization offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors, makes

donations and visits senior citizens, makes contributions to efforts of improving the status of women, assists with the beautification of Cyrus Greene Recreation Park, and volunteers and supports proj- ects of the NAACP, NCNW, UNCF, TLOD Literacy, Sickle Cell Awareness Disease and is devoted to improving the lives of those in the commu- nity.
