Belmont Heights, Yellow Jacket Little Leagues To Have Opening Ceremonies
   One Missing Person Located, The Other Still Missing
Members of law en- forcement have located one person who was reported missing. However, the search for the second per- son continues.
Deputies with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Office are still searching for 19-year-old D’Rajavon Taylor. Police said Taylor has not been seen or heard from since around 3:30 a.m., on March 3, 2018.
Taylor is 6’2” and weighs about 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The Belmont Heights Little League and the Yel- low Jackets Little League will have their Opening Cer- emonies this weekend.
The Opening Cere- monies for Belmont Heights will be Friday evening, March 16, 2018 at 6:30 p. m., at the field lo- cated at 22nd St. and Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.
The Yellow Jackets’ Opening Ceremonies will be on Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2018, at 1 p. m. The Little League field is lo- cated at 2301 N. Oregon St., Tampa 33607.
Having been organized 50 years ago, the Belmont Heights Little League will host a special program to recognize 50 years of serv- ice to youths.
“We are honoring Coach Reed (BR initials will be on all league uni- forms), Artis Gambrell, Jr., President of the Bel- mont Heights Little League said.
“Also, we had designated all Minor, Major and Junior League teams with Negro

League Mascots to show the impact and influence that the Negro League had on the establishment of our program 50 years ago (1968-2018),” he said.
Belmont Heights LL will be honoring Tampa resi- dent, Clifford “Quack” Brown. He played for the Philadelphia Stars of the Negro League. “He coached at Belmont Heights during the 1970s through the early 1980s,” Gambrell said.
The Yellow Jackets Little League is going into its 51st year. According to history of the Yellow Jackets Little League, the organization was formed by the Commu- nity White Hats in the after- math of the 1967 riots, and has served the predomi- nantly African-American community every since.
“We’d like for the com- munity to come out and support our youth. With so many things going on right now with our youth, we need to give them support wherever we can,” Stephen Hall said.
James Wright is Pres- ident of the Yellow Jackets Little League, and has served since 1975.
