Church Of God In Christ Hosts 51st Holy Convocation
The Jurisdiction of Southwestern Florida of the Church of God in Christ held its 51st Holy Convocation February 17, 19-25, 2018. This year’s theme was “The Church Seasoning the World,” taken from Matthew 5:13-16.
The services were held at Brown Memorial Church of God in Christ, Bishop Matthew
Williams, Pastor.
Several speakers from the Church of God in
Christ were in town. Bishop Matthew Williams, Jurisdictional Prelate, General Board Member COGIC, closed out the Convoca- tion on Sunday as the 5 p. m. speaker. (Pho- tographs by George Streets, Jr.)

The Tuesday night speaker was Bishop G. Wes- ley Hardy, Sr., Senior Pastor of Cathedral of Faith COGIC, Chesapeake, Virginia; Virginia Fourth Ju- risdiction, Jurisdictional Prelate.

Meeting
NAACP General Membership Meeting
The Hillsborough County Branch NAACP will have it Gen- eral Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 15, 2018, 7 p. m. The meeting will be held at the Seminole Heights Branch Library, 4711 N. Central Ave., Tampa 33603.
The speaker will be Bob Henriquez, CFA, Hillsborough County Property Appraiser.
