Smith-Schuster: TD Routine
49ers WR Marquise Goodwin Shares Heartbreaking News About Death Of Baby Son
MARQUISE GOODWIN
San Francisco 49ers wide re- ceiver Marquise Goodwin played Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with much more on his mind than usual.
The wide receiver revealed on Instagram after the game that his family lost their newborn son due to pregnancy/birth compli- cations. The caption and photo Goodwin shared on Instagram are heartbreaking.
Despite the tragedy, Good- win somehow was able to suit up and play. He even caught an 83-yard touchdown. He gave a point to the sky and got down on one knee and prayed after scor- ing.
Paul George Got Russell Westbrook The Best Birthday Present
PAUL GEORGE
What do you get for the man who has it all? Paul George knows the answer.
Russell Westbrook cele- brated his 29th birthday on Sun- day, and the day was even sweeter thanks to his Oklahoma City Thunder beating the Dallas Mavericks 112-99.
Asked after the game what he got Westbrook for his birth- day, George had a perfect an- swer.
Westbrook probably could- n’t have asked for much more. He wanted help after Kevin Durant left for Golden State, and he got it this offseason.
George put together his sec- ond superb game in a row for OKC. He had 42 points, 9 re- bounds and 7 assists in a win over the Clippers on Friday. On Sunday against Dallas, he had 37 points (as noted in his funny quote) after going 7-for-12 on three-pointers.
The Thunder needed some time to figure things out with George and Carmelo An- thony on the team. It looks like they’re starting to get things set- tled.
Kyrie Irving Did Not Play In Sunday's Win Due To Minor Facial Fracture
BEAUTY UNLIMITED
CAROLINE
It is indeed a pleasure to reveal to you this week’s Beauty Un- limited feature, Caroline. Caroline absolutely loves posing in front of the camera, and understand the sacrifice and strength it takes to be successful. This young lady is self confident, and knows she’s destined for stardom. Let’s congratulate Caroline as this week’s Beauty Unlimited.
Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving did not play Sunday’s 95-94 win against the Toronto Raptors due to a minor facial fracture, according to the team.
Irving suffered the injury early in the first quarter Friday night, when teammate Aron Baynes inadvertently elbowed him in the face while trying to defend a Kemba Walker shot.
The accidental elbow looks set to cost Irving at least one game, and it remains to be seen

how much more time — if any — Irving will miss. After fac- ing the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, their next game will be in Brooklyn to face the Nets on Tuesday.
Isaiah Thomas Says He Expected Celtics’ Success
The Boston Celtics have won eleven consecutive games after an 0-2 start, putting them firmly atop the Eastern Conference. That hot start has taken some by surprise — but not Isaiah Thomas.
Now with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the former Celtics point guard has been watch- ing from afar and isn’t shocked by the team’s early success — though he is a bit taken aback by their winning streak.
“I knew they were going to be good,” Thomas told Joe Vardon of cleveland.com. “They won 10 in a row, that’s definitely a surprise. That’s hard to do. Like, they’ve got good players, they’ve got a great coach. That was going to happen. It’s not like they traded me and they were going to be a bad team. They

were definitely going to be a good team no matter what. They’ve got good players on top of having a great coaching staff.”
Thomas has had his share of grievances with the organization since he was traded, but he clearly still has some love for the players and coaching staff. Of course, once he returns from his injury, his primary job with the Cleve- land Cavaliers will be knock- ing them off that perch.
With Le'Veon Bell Meant To
Put Positive Spin On Fight
Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster said Sunday's touchdown celebra- tion with Le'Veon Bell re- enacted A.J. Green choking Jalen Ramsey, but it didn't go as planned.
"Terrible," said Smith- Schuster after the Steelers' 20-17 victory over the Colts. "It's probably my worst one."
Bengals WR Green and Jaguars CB Ramsey were ejected from the Week 9 game after a scuffle left Ramsey in a Green chokehold.
On Smith-Schuster's 7- yard score with 4 minutes, 59 seconds left in the third quar- ter, Smith-Schuster waited for Bell to play the role of Green, coming from behind with a choke.
Smith-Schuster wasn't very high on the re-enactment but still looked for input from

the fans on Twitter.
But Smith-Schuster said
the pair had planned to put a positive spin on the fight.
"We were going to shake hands, hold hands walking off the field together," Smith- Schuster said. "We messed up. We didn't really rehearse. You can't really rehearse what's really going on."
The two did shake hands after the choke, but it didn't seem part of the routine.
