Rihanna Tapped To Host 2018 Met Gala
Thor: Ragnarok Still Reigns At Box Office
Tessa Thompson stars in the #1 movie that is directed by Taika Waititi.
Rihanna has a new gig. Rih will reportedly host the 2018 Met Gala, Vogue reports.
The fashion icon will re- portedly be one of three hosts, alongside Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace. The theme for fashion’s biggest night was recently announced as, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
Since the “Lemon” artist is usually one of very few to actu- ally obey the theme, it makes sense that she was tapped as next years host.
Rihanna rocked last year’s theme, which was an ode to avant-garde Comme des Gar- cons.
The 2018 Met Gala will take place in Apr. 2018, at the Met- ropolitan Museum of

Thor: Ragnarok was as ex- pected once again the No. 1 film this weekend with $56.6 million and almost $211.6 do- mestically. So far, it has made over $650 million worldwide,
heading for one billion glob- ally -- or pretty close to that.
That makes the film's Maori director, Taika Wait- iti, one of the most financially successful box office directors
of color ever in the film busi- ness.

Meek Mill is receiving brotherly love from a wave of supporters.
Thousands of Meek Mill fans are planning to rally for the rapper in Philadelphia No- vember 13th.
Fans are planning to protest in front of the Criminal Jus- tice Center on Filbert Street in downtown Philly at 5:00 pm.
The gathering will protest Meek Mill's two to four-year prison sentence, for violating his probation.
Meek Mill's lawyers, prominent businessmen and a variety of celebrities have con- demned the sentence imposed by Judge Genece Brinkley, who is accused of having a vendetta against the rapper.
The protest comes as a Change.org petition calling for Governor Tom Wolf to re-
view the sentence.
The petition, which has
over 300,000 signatures, was launched on Monday (No- vember 6) shortly after Meek was sentenced.
Unfortunately for Meek, no matter how many signa- tures the petition amasses, Governor Tom Wolf said there is nothing he could do to pardon the rapper.
Meek Mill's lawyers said they are planning to appeal Judge Brinkley's decision.
The “Dreams and Night- mares” rapper reportedly failed a drug test and re- frained from notifying the judge of his traveling sched- ule. According to Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, Judge Genece Brinkley is “enamored” with the MMG artist.
