The press conference will mark the first time that Minis- ter Farrakhan, National Rep- resentative of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam, will speak di- rectly to President Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States.

President’s Chief Of Staff Says He Ignores His Boss’s Tweets
President Trump caused an uproar about his tweet about N. Korean president Kim Jong Un.
Two former top U. S. intel- ligence officials on Sunday de- nounced President Donald Trump’s repeated refusal to definitively affirm Russian meddling in the 2016 election, saying the president is being manipulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Sunday on CNN"s "State of the Union" that Trump's downplaying of the threat posed by Russia's meddling in last year's election was dan- gerous to U. S. national secu- rity and allows countries like Russia and China to "play" the President.
Trump has repeatedly questioned the conclusion of top intelligence agencies that Russia conducted a sophisti- cated effort to tip last year’s election in Trump’s favor. Trump has shown a fondness for Putin, and his campaign
faces multiple investigations into whether it colluded with Russia.
Trump on Saturday reignited the controversy, when reporters asked if he dis- cussed Russian interference with Putin while meeting at the Asia-Pacific summit in Vietnam.
Attacking Brennan and Clapper as “political hacks,” Trump said he sided with Putin’s denials over the con- clusion of his own intelligence agencies.
Former CIA Director John Brennan said Trump is al- lowing Putin to get away with Russia's efforts to disrupt the presidential election.
Brennan said Putin's ap- parent success with Trump was due to his use of flattery and Brennan's suspicion that Trump "for whatever reason" might be "intimi- dated" by Putin.
White House chief of staff John Kelly has a solution for Donald Trump’s tweets: Pay no attention to them.
Asked about his response to Trump’s tweet implying North Korea leader Kim Jong Un was “short and fat,” Kelly noted that he and the staff don’t react to the president’s tweets. “I don’t allow the staff to. We know what we’re doing,” he said after a news conference Sunday in Vietnam, the Los Angeles Times re- ported.
“Believe it or not, I do not follow the tweets,” Kelly said. “I find out about them. But for our purposes, my purpose, is we make sure the president is briefed up on what he’s about to do.”
Trump erupted Satur- d a y after a North Korea state- ment referred to him as an “old lunatic” and “warmonger.” Trump tweeted: “Why would Kim Jong Un insult me by calling me ‘old,’ when I would NEVER call him ’short and fat?’”

Dylann Roof, the terrorist who murdered nine, black peo- ple in a Charleston, South Car- olina church in June 2015, has reportedly been sentenced to the death penalty, Okayplayer reports. It reportedly took the jury of 12 two hours to reach a unanimous decision.
The decision comes at the end of a lengthy federal death penalty case, in which Roof was convicted of hate crimes resulting in death, among other various charges, ABC News reports.
Melvin Graham, brother of slain churchgoer, Cynthia Hurd, said the sentence was “justice for my sister,” but was also a “very hollow victory be- cause my sister’s still gone. I wish that this verdict could have brought her back,” ac- cording to ABC News.
Roof’s family released a statement following the ver- dict. “We will always love Dy- lann. We will struggle as long as we live to understand why he committed this horrible at- tack, which caused so much pain to so many good people. We wish to express the grief we feel for the victims of his crimes, and our sympathy to

The gruesome discovery last Sunday of the bodies of 26 teenaged Nigerian girls in the Mediterranean Sea has left Italian officials wondering whether the girls were pur- posely killed, and why all who died were female.
The teens ranged from 14 to 18 years old, died attempting the dangerous journey from Libya to Europe over last weekend.
