Mr. Dennis W. Alexander, Sr. of 7109 Rhode Island Dr., East, Jacksonville, FL, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Dennis W. Alexander, Sr. will be conducted Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a. m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Bap- tist Church, 4008 E. Cayuga St., Rev. Michael V. White, officiat- ing. Interment will follow at Sun- set Memory Gardens, 11005 US - 301, Thonotosassa, FL, 33592.
Mr. Alexander was a native of Madison County (Pinetta), Florida and a resident of Tampa for 27 years before returning to Jacksonville, FL. He was a grad- uate of FAMU and Nova Univer- sity and a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Church, where he served with the Brotherhood Chorus and the Jubilee Choir. He was also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
Mr. Alexander was a teacher and Principal for over 40 years in counties throughout Florida.
Dennis was preceded in death by: his parents, Deacon Dennis E. and Mother Annie B. Alexander; and his 10 siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Francis Ter- rell Alexander; sons, Dennis W. Alexander, Jr., Maurice Alexan- der, Charles (B. J.) Waldon, Ben Terrell (LaRhan) Waldon; grandchildren, Dennis Wesley Alexander, III, Leslie Waldon, Terri Waldon, Natalie Walton, Wesley Waldon, Brandon Wal- don, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other rel-
