Having a desire for several years to experience and enj0y a River Boat Cruise, it finally came true recently for 2 ladies – Gloria W. Davis and her friend, Connie Hammond. They are aqua classmates at a local fitness center. They were also joined by 2 of Connie’s friends for this exciting trip.

They also spent time shop- ping in the area of Fisherman’s Wharf, touring the city and riding the street cars. On the final day before heading to Beijing, China, the group had a tour and lunch in the city of Zhuiajao that was part boat ride and part walking.
Arriving in Beijing, the ladies were assigned a tour guide and several drivers. They are still raving about the hotel where they resided. Each day they were on a tight sched- ule, starting with breakfast and leaving for the tour by 7 or 8 a. m.

Mrs. Davis was only home a couple of weeks before she and another friend, Irene Bedford, cruised out of Ft. Lauderdale to spend 10 days cruising the islands of the
Southern Caribbean. This was their second visit to some of the islands. Two of the islands they had not visited before were Grand Turk and Bahia de Samana, Dominican Republic. Three of the days were spent sailing at sea and enjoying the cruise ship entertainment.

PTA Group Hosts Father-Daughter Dance
These are scenes from the Father-Daughter Dance at Ippolito El- ementary School.
In recognition of Valentine’s Day, Ippolito Elementary School’s PTA hosted an Enchanted Evening father/daughter dance in their school cafeteria. It was truly a night to remember.
Dads wore their nice shirt and ties while their daughters were adorned in fancy dresses.
The evening started with a social time to meet other dads and daughters while taking photos with a picture-perfect background.
Afterwards, Principal Nicole Reynard Bennett welcomed the guests and invited them to recite a pledge led by the dads as they read to their daughters.
Good food, good times, and dancing filled the room as dads and daughters celebrated Valentine’s Day together to create memorable moments that will last a lifetime.
