Jameis Winston: 'I Have
With Mounting Pressure To Sit Out Season, Bosh Meeting With Heat Officials
CHRIS BOSH
Miami Heat All-Star for- ward Chris Bosh is under in- creasing pressure from physicians and the organiza- tion to sit out the rest of the season because of the poten- tial dangers of a recurring medical condition.
After a blood clot in his calf moved to his lungs in 2015, Bosh missed the final 30 games of the season. He took blood thinners for several months following the 2015 clotting.
Bosh has a meeting planned with Heat officials, in- cluding team owner Mickey Arison and president Pat Riley, in the next 24 hours to move closer to a final determi- nation on his status, league sources said.
Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving
To Get My Body In Shape'
Gets Apology After Being
For the second straight off- season, Jameis Winston has admitted he wants to get in better shape.
During the Rookie Sympo- sium last June, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback told Around The NFL he wanted to "get back skinny" before his first pro season.
After a solid rookie cam- paign -- 58.3 completion per- centage, 4,042 passing yards, 22 TDs, 15 INTs, 84.2 passer rating -- Winston made the Pro Bowl (after several QBs dropped out).
Being surrounded by some of the NFL's best made Win- ston realizes he has more work to do to get ripped.
Winston was asked what he learned at the Pro Bowl.
"The most important thing

I learned is I have to get my body in shape, because those men look good," Winston said. "Not just the other quar- terbacks-everyone. Their bod- ies look good. But also, Russell Wilson's prepara- tion at the Pro Bowl. You know, it's a relaxing event, and he is still doing everything the right way. He is the first one to the huddle, leading guys in stretches, running everywhere you go."
OKLAHOMA CITY — Hilton Hotels apologized Tuesday after Cleveland Cav- aliers guard Kyrie Irving said he was bitten by bedbugs during a weekend stay in downtown Oklahoma City.
Irving played just nine minutes Sunday in a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team blamed flu-like symptoms, but Irving later said he was not feeling well after discovering bedbugs on a pillow and ending up on a couch instead of his bed at the Skirvin Hilton. He said he didn’t get much sleep Satur- day night and had a sore back.
Hilton and environmental health inspectors from the Oklahoma City-County Health Department both called it an isolated case and said the room was being treated.
“The comfort of our guests is a top priority, and we are very sorry to hear about Mr. Irving’s stay,” Hilton said. “Since bedbugs can be easily transmitted anywhere and are often lodged in luggage or on clothing, our hotel main-

tains high levels of vigilance and we perform regular in- spections.”
Irving said he had just three hours of sleep the night before the game and felt nau- seated.
“Just imagine how freaked out you’d be if you saw frig- gin’ five big bedbugs just sit- ting on your pillow,” he said. “I woke up itching, and I’m just looking around and I’m like, ‘Are you serious right now?’ It was 3 a.m., and I was so tired at that point.”
“Skirvin Hotel manage- ment had already started the process of corrective action, as we were launching an on- site inspection today at the hotel,” the department said.
Adjacent rooms were in- spected, and no other signs of bedbugs were noted.

Tiger Woods Responds To Reports Of A Setback: ‘Progressing Nicely’
In a not-so-subtle retort to the social media firestorm that suggested he had a set- back in his recovery from back surgery, Tiger Woods tweeted a 13-second video on Wednesday morning that showed him hitting a 9-iron shot on a golf simulator.
“Progressing nicely” was all he wrote.
Two tweets on Monday re- ported that Woods was hav- ing difficulty with his recovery and that he had trouble even sitting in a car. Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, strongly denied

the reports in a statement, calling them “ridiculous and absolutely false.’‘
Steinberg said Wednes- day that the video was shot just before 9 a.m. ET.
“This was meant more for
all of Tiger’s fans who had reached out since all of this erroneous reporting came out over the weekend that he was so disabled he had to sit in the passenger seat of a car,’‘ Steinberg said. “So many had reached out and wondered if this was the end and if this was true. This was meant to give the most recent update.’‘
Asked specifically what Woods is doing at this point, Steinberg said: “That’s a fairly full swing. It’s a full 9- iron that he was hitting. He’s been doing some chipping, working his way to where he is at right now.
“It would be different if I had just said he’s progressing and doing some chipping and putting. This is a bit more im- pactful and relevant to show it this way.’‘
Woods, 40, has not played in a tournament since tying for 10th six months ago at the Wyndham Champi- onship. A few weeks later, he had a second microdiscec- tomy surgery on his lower back. Six weeks after that, on Oct. 28, Woods had another surgery in the same area, al- though it has not been dis- closed what exactly occurred.
