Rihanna And Drake’s ‘Work’ Hits #1
Even though many music ex- ecutives predicted the Jay Z led entertainment platform Tidal would fold in under a year, the service may have fi- nally found its footing in the competitive streaming mar- ketplace. Thanks in part to fel- low artist-owner Kanye West.
TMZ reports Kanye’s lat- est album The Life Of Pablo set a streaming record for the service and the Tidal exclusive
project helped the company more than double its sub- scribers to 2.5 million users. Tidal crossed the one million mark last September.
Kanye premiered TLOP during his “Yeezy Season 3” fashion show/listening session at New York City’s Madison Square Garden earlier this month. The event was streamed live on Tidal, and over 20 million people around the world tuned in.

Mrs. Toya Wright is on her grind right now. She’s tour- ing her book ‘How To Lose A Husband’, while running a boutique and crossing over into the hair business.
If you live in the Atlanta metro area you may have no- ticed Toya’s face on billboards all around the city. Well, a source close to Mrs. Wright tells us that all 50 billboards were purchased by none other than her ex, Lil Wayne. More than half of them state “Happy Valentine’s Day Toya” and rest promote her businesses. Right now Toya is separated from her husband, Mickey ‘Mem- phitz’ Wright, but she men- tions her daughter’s father as a possible love interest on the
Once again the tandem of Rihanna and Drake hits the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100. After ruling the chart with “What’s My Name?” in 2010, Ri Ri and Drizzy land at #1 with “Work.”
“Work” marks Rihanna’s 14th Hot 100 chart topper. The Roc Nation singer now has 14 career #1 songs, moving her into third place alone behind

Jennifer Hudson experi- enced unspeakable tragedy in 2008 when her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were killed at the hands of her sister's estranged husband, William Balfour. Hudson's brother-in-law was convicted on three counts of first degree murder in 2012 and sentenced to life in prison.
Now, however, Balfour claims he's completely inno- cent of the murders and has no idea who killed his family.
“I didn't have nothing to do with her family being killed. Period,” he told ABC 7 in his first interview since the 2008 murders. “I didn't have nothing
Tidal and Roc Nation just gained another big name. Dur- ing his pop-up show in Atlanta Monday night (February 22), Tip “T.I.” Harris informed the world that he has officially become part of both the streaming service and the Jay Z led label.
Tip is the 19th artist owner of Tidal. He joins other Hip Hop representatives Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and J. Cole as part- ners of the music and enter- tainment platform. Other music superstars such as Bey- oncé, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Usher, Madonna, and Coldplay are also artist o wners of the company.
The “TIDAL X TIP” concert event streamed live on Tidal. The show featured appearances
to do with the case and don't know who had anything to do with the case.”
Balfour goes on to claim that his arrest and conviction is part of a larger conspiracy by Chicago police.
Prosecutors said Balfour was a jealous man who stalked his wife’s family after she moved out in early 2008. He was on parole for an attempted 1992 murder when he was ar- rested. After the murders, Hudson's mother and brother were found dead in their home and the 7-year-old was later discovered dead in a car al- legedly stolen by Balfour.

In the past, financial discrep- ancies caused animosity be- tween Lil Wayne and Birdman. Although this dy- namic duo have worked to squash their personal issues, Wayne is still suing his “daddy.” In addition to that lawsuit, Cash Money Records (CMR) still faces a lawsuit from Jas Prince.
Orange Factory Music (OFM) may have set a precedent. The production company worked diligently to craft several Jay Sean records has won a law- suit against the Birdman. Backed by a team of legal ex- perts they were victorious in their pursuit in obtaining $1.1 M from CMR.
The presiding judge also im- posed an 3-week time require- ment for Birdman to pay up.
