STARLING MARTE
The Pittsburgh Pirates an- nounced on Tuesday that out- fielder Starling Marte has been suspended 80 games for violating MLB’s joint drug agreement.
Marte tested positive for a steroid called Nandrolone. The 28-year-old apologized in a statement and assured fans he did not knowingly cheat.
Marte was hitting .241 with two homers and seven RBI this season. The career .288 hitter was off to a slow start, but he has been one of Pittsburgh’s most reliable players in recent years. Marte batted a career- high .311 last season and had an OBP of .362.
Odell Beckham Once Again Linked To Amber Rose
ODELL BECKHAM, JR.
Less than two years ago, Odell Beckham, Jr. became one in a long line of professional athletes who have been con- nected in the tabloids to Amber Rose. After the New York Giants wide receiver was spotted with Rose at Coachella last week, the rumors have resurfaced.
According to Page Six, Beck- ham and Rose arrived to- gether at the Nylon’s Midnight Garden Party at Coachella on Friday. A source told the gossip publication that the two were a “last-minute addition” to the bash with a “large group of friends,” but they supposedly “got flirtier and flirtier” as the night went on.
That doesn’t mean Beck- ham and Rose are dating, but they must be pretty good friends at the very least. Beck- ham seemingly shot down the rumor that he and Rose were an item over a year ago, and flirting with high-profile celebrities seems to be his thing.

Isaiah Thomas Left Team To Be With Family After Sister’s Death
Rajon Rondo Hoping Bulls Pick Up His Option For Next Season
Celtics coach Brad Stevens said that point guard Isaiah Thomas left to go home to Tacoma, Wash., on Wednesday morning to be with his family following the death Saturday of his 22- year-old sister, Chyna Thomas, who was killed in a car crash.
Thomas is scheduled to rejoin the team in Chicago prior to Game 3 on Friday night.
Stevens said that as of Tuesday night he had not re- ceived word about memorial services for Chyna Thomas, but he reiterated that if the schedule permits, the team hoped to give the players the option of going to Tacoma for the funeral.
ISAIAH THOMAS
Game 1 was extremely emotional for Thomas and the Celtics, and Stevens said the atmosphere prior to Game 2 remained unusual. The Celtics are in a must win situation after losing 2 games at home Tuesday night against the Chicago Bulls, 111-97. Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler each scored 22 points.
It may have seemed ridicu- lous just a few months ago, but Rajon Rondo wants to stay with the Chicago Bulls beyond this season.
Speaking before the Bulls played the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday, the four-time All-Star point guard said he hopes he gets his team option picked up for next sea-

The Bulldogs guard an- nounced on social media Tues- day that he will be leaving college and hiring an agent as he prepares for his future as a professional basketball player.
The key with Goss’ an- nouncement is that he will sign with an agent, which means he is losing his final season of eli- gibility.
Williams-Goss trans- ferred to Gonzaga after playing his first two seasons at Wash- ington. The transfer couldn’t have worked out better, as
NIGEL WILLIAMS-GOSS Williams-Goss improved his
