Motivational Speaker Has ‘Motivational Moments’ On Radio Stations
The year, 2007 began another chapter for Don- ald L. Dowridge, Jr., as President and Founder of DLD (Determined to Learn and Develop) Enterprises, which was established in 1992.
Upon his return to Tampa with more radio ex- perience and the knack for positivity, he had a vision of creating a radio broad- cast that will be of service to the people. This broad- cast will consist of sixty seconds (1 minute) of in- spiring and motivational words to assist listeners through their days.
In 2007, WTMP 1150AM was the first offi- cial radio station to open their doors for the realiza- tion of this first of its kind broadcast. Over the years the “THE DLD MOTIVA- TIONAL MOMENT” has seen its share of success and acceptance from the general public.
Since originally broad- casting with WTMP the “60 second” segment has aired on various radio stations around the Tampa Bay re- gion.
Turning the page to 2019, “THE DLD MOTIVA- TIONAL MOMENT” is cur-

rently heard on four (4)
radio stations here in the Tampa Bay Area: WTMP 1150AM, 88.5FM, N- TOUCH RADIO and 99.1FM, St. Petersburg.
“The return to this media opportunity is long coming and a Blessing to be a Blessing to many who tune in at different times of the day to receive a Power- ful “60 Second” message that could and will have a positive effect upon them hearing the impact deliv- ery,” Dowridge said.
DLD is grateful to the radio stations for willingly opening their doors and studios for the recording
sessions and the air waves for these optimistic mes- sages being heard by the listeners.
Dowridge adds, “It’s a true joy to have the oppor- tunity to come from the heart to deliver motiva- tional offerings for twenty- seven years. It’s truly rewarding to be a solution more so than a problem. GOD has brought me through a lot, and with that LOT, it’s a must that I live my life on ‘Positive Avenue’ by any means necessary, giving back and sharing nuggets of knowledge to our society!”
